  • Phuket

    Phi Phi Island is a famous island off the coast of Phuket. Dear Monica : We are back from our Thailand ( Bangkok & Phuket ) tour and I wanted to update you on our experiences with Lavacanza.

Well, we enjoyed a lot, but there were some miscommunications and inefficiency from your tour contact person at Phuket, Ms. Nina.

Firstly, we arrived at Phuket airport and the transport to the hotel was not there. After a tiring fight journey with a three year old kid we had to wait for about 30 minutes for the pick up vehicle.

Secondly, on the day of the Phi Phi island tour we were told to wait at hotel lobby for the pick up at 7.30 am. Nobody came till 8.30 am. When we called Ms. Nina regarding this, she told that she had no idea of the tour company which was booked for this trip. No number, no contacts.

Things were perfectly all right at Bangkok, no hassles, everything was on time.

Anyway thanks for everything. I would surely recommend you guys to my friend if they are only visiting Bangkok.

However, I would strongly discourage my friends to Phuket with your present point of contact. I would urge you to make necessary changes on the logisticals at Phuket.

We travelled to Bangkok & Phuket holiday before my son was going to college in Delhi. We wanted to spend time as a family together and requested La Vacanza to arrange for this trip to Bangkok and Phuket.

Phuket is a great holiday destination, especially with a perspective of having a quiet family holiday. You get that Thai flavour in every aspect, we love Thai food and admire the environment of places in Thailand.

Patong beach is great to take long walks and shopping is also nice in Phuket city, our hotel was in Patong beach next to all great eating places and street shopping .

I would recommend Phi phi Island tour for people interested in watersports, otherwise also it is a good outing. You must also visit one of the night market in Phuket to get the feel of local culture and way of life.

Bangkok was our second trip and we went to temples and safari world last time also so we skipped it this time and instead went to Grand Palace.

I would recommend Grand Palace to everyone, also Cho Phraya river cruise which is very nice, if you like thai food, they serve great Thai buffet onboard.

Shopping is important for ladies in the family so we stayed in Sukhumvit area, so that we are close to Robinson, Central and Isetan shopping mall, MBK is also good for shopping.

It was our 3rd trip in 2 years with La Vacanza travel and they never disappoint. A very focused and friendly team. We sincerely wish them all the best.
