Lucknow - Holiday Tour Packages

Featuring impressive monuments, warm and friendly people, and delicacies that are bound to make your mouth water, there is every reason to make Lucknow your next vacation destination now. As the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, no holiday packages to the state will be complete without including its capital as a travel destination. There is more to see and do in the area, with sightseeing & activities centered on its many Tombs, Bazaars, food, Imambaras, temples and monuments.

Places to visit in Lucknow

  • Tombs and Mausoleums - Building grand resting places for dearly departed is a common feature in almost all of India, and Lucknow is no exception. Many tourists travel to the city just to see the tombs and mausoleums. One of the most notable is Bara Imambara and Bhool Bhulaiya, a tomb complex with a labyrinth where guides have been known to get lost themselves.
  • Places of Varied Interest - The city has a lot of everything, but not plenty of the same thing. This makes your vacation quite varied if you mix different sightseeing options in one day. For instance, you can mix a temple and tomb with a trip to the Botanical Gardens, the Zoo/Museum, the Indira Gandhi Planetarium, and Husainabad Clock Tower, a landmark left behind by the British. It is the perfect spot for a lazy afternoon by the lake.
  • Ruins - It might seem sad that some of the majestic structures in the past are nothing more than just ruins today, but they are still ideal for sightseeing. This is why one of things to do during your vacation in Lucknow is to visit Dilkusha ruins and the Ruins of the Lucknow Residency and Museum.
