Itinerary

  • Arrival Leh Airport

    Welcome to Ladakh. On arrival at Leh airport meet your waiting assistant and driver for a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing, it is important for you to get accustomed to the climate and conditions of Ladakh due the the high altitude, later in the evening visit Leh Market and Shanti Stupa. Overnight at your hotel.

  • Leh (Full Day Excursions)

    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before you start your full day excursion to visit 'The Hall of Fame', a museum constructed and maintained by Indian Army in the memory of the fallen soldiers followed by a visit to Gurdwara Shri Pathar Sahib located on Srinagar-Leh Road, this was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak to the region, the founder Guru of the Sikhism faith.

    Later embark on a beautiful drive to famous Magnetic Hill and further through picturesque landscapes to see confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, you will also visit Basgo, a historical town on the bank of the river Indus once an important cultural and political centre and even today famous for its gompas such as Basgo Monastery and historical ruins. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Leh - Pangong Lake ( Stay in a Camp )

    Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel and start your drive in a comfortable vehicle ( Approx 6 Hours ) to Pangong Lake or Pangong Tso, a 134 kms long lake extending from India to China and situated at a height of approx 4350 mts in The Himalayas. Most of your drive will be through rough but dramatically scenic mountain road.  Enroute to Pangong Tso you will also visit Shey Palace and Thikse Monastery besides various other photo-stops to capture the stunning scenery, beauty and allure of the region. Overnight stay at a campsite near Pangong Lake.

  • Pangong Lake - Leh

    After a hearty breakfast at your camp, spend some more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and surroundings of lake Pangong before you start your travel back to Leh. You will also make a stop at Hemis Gompa, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery (gompa) before your return to Leh for a good night sleep at your hotel in Leh.

  • Leh - Nubra Valley ( Stay in a Camp )

    After an early breakfast this morning, meet your driver and start your journey in a comfortable vehicle to Nubra Valley. The road out of Leh climbs steadily and crosses the Khardung La pass at 5602 mts (18,379ft) which is claimed to be the world’s highest motorable road. On arrival spend the rest of the day exploring beautiful villages of Sumur and Hunder, later visit Diskit Monastery before you check-in at your camp for an overnight stay.

  • Nubra Valley - Leh

    After your breakfast at the camp embark on an optional camel Safari in the sand dunes before you head back to Leh via same route. After your arrival in Leh rest of the day is free for you to visit the local markets. Overnight at your hotel in Leh.

  • Leh - Departure

    Enjoy breakfast at hotel before you meet your driver for your departure transfer to the airport on time for your return flight.

Can we visit Pangong Tso lake and return to Leh on the same day?

You can visit Pangong Tso lake and return to Leh on the same day if you are short of time during your Ladakh holiday tour, you might have to start very early in the morning from Leh hotel. There is an opportunity to stay in a tented camp accommodation if weather permits and enjoy sunset and stunning views at night. Staying in the tented accommodation in camps is an outstanding experience however the option is not available throughout the year.

Can we take a flight into Srinagar, Travel to Leh by Road and fly out from Leh?

Travelling to Leh from Srinagar (or vice versa) by road is once in a lifetime experience, you travel in a comfortable vehicle with your drive and can enjoy a stopover in Kargil as well along with visits and sightseeing of the places like Magnetic Hill and many more. The road connecting Srinagar to Leh is also good. For example - you can take a flight from Delhi to Srinagar, enjoy Kashmir Valley, then travel in your comfortable vehicle to Kargil, stay for overnight in Kargil, next morning travel to Leh after the Kargil sightseeing and visit to top attractions on the way. Depending on the time you have for your Ladakh trip you can always customize a Ladakh holiday package suitable to your requirements.

Nubra valley is a beautiful place to stay atleast for a night in a camp (weather permitting) and enjoy views and a camel desert safari as well. The road from Leh to Nubra Valley steadily climbs and reaches to an height of 5602 mts (18,379ft) at Khardung La Pass ( Claimed to be the world’s highest motorable road) . It a beautiful but long drive which make it impractical to return to Leh on the same day.

This sudden change might result in headache or dizziness and you must take rest for your body to acclimatize. If you feel good, you may visit local markets and Shanti Stupa.
