Overview

Segway Nation offers its 2.5 hour Ghost and Bat Segway tour once daily. Our Ghost and Bat Segway tour is offered once daily at 7:00 PM. Bats are seasonal and usually fly from March to October every year. This approximately 2.5 hour Segway tour is designed to be a fun nighttime Segway adventure through downtown Austin. We visit some of Austin's haunted downtown hotels and buildings, plus we Segway to some of Austin’s famous landmarks. Some of this Segway Tour’s Highlights include seeing the world’s largest urban bat colony of about 2 million Mexican Free-Tailed Bats • The Texas State Capitol Building • Haunted Hotels • Haunted Historic Buildings • Town Lake/Lady Bird Lake • Austin Convention Center • 6th Street Music and Entertainment District • Austin’s Moonlight Towers • Many other great historic sites • Plenty of time to play on your Segway, lots of fun facts and time for great photos!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and took great care to make sure we were all comfortable on our Segways before setting off. We got a unique perspective of downtown Austin and the bat experience.

We took our 5 teenage grandkids. We all had a blast. The lights of downtown were so striking and bright, the time off the Segway to see the bats was just long enough, Kelcie our guide was thorough, gentle, careful, and engaging. Highly recommend.

We loved Jordan! The tour was super fun and a great experience for my coworker and I. We both had never ridden a Segway before, but Jordan was a fantastic teacher and host. The bars were not under the bridge because of the time of month and migration pattern, but still was a cool experience.

Our Segway tour experience in downtown Austin was absolutely fantastic. We embarked on this adventure with my husband, our two teen kids (aged 14 and 17), and it proved to be an excellent way to explore and see downtown Austin. The views were incredible, and our tour guide was truly exceptional. Thanks to this wonderful experience, we've made it a point to include a Segway tour in every new place we visit.

Kelcy and Jordan were really great. They were patient with our group so we were comfortable with the Segway and we got to see a lot of the city. We had a great time.
