This 2-hour 'introduction to snowshoeing' tour in Alberta, Canada, will travel to the top of Mount Whitehorn to experience a view previously only accessible to skiers and snowboarders. Certified guides will demonstrate how to use snowshoes in a safe environment while sharing stories of the history, landscape, and wildlife of Lake Louise. Enjoy breathtaking views while taking those first steps in snowshoes.

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

You will enjoy a 14-minute Sightseeing Gondola to the top of the mountain to start your Snowshoeing Tour. Guests will Snowshoe for 1.5hrs including a hot chocolate and snack break before taking the Sightseeing Gondola back down to the base of the mountain.

We attended a wedding at the top of Lake Louise. It was a snowshoe event and what a great experience it was. Our guide Mitch was such a great guy, very knowledgeable, so friendly, helpful and compassionate. Thanks to Mitch (and Cindy) for taking such good care of us.

Mitchell’s knowledge and enthusiasm shone through plus we had a hoot. Part stand up (on the slopes) comedian and part naturalist, he taught us a lot without overdoing the athleticism required for those of us with 2 left snowshoes.

I’m not a skier so it was a wonderful way to see the mountains. We had a mixed bag of weather which added to the experience and our guide Mitch was great - super friendly and knowledgable. Would highly recommend!

The snowshoe tour was spectacular! Our guide Mitch shared many facts about the nature around us as well as the conservation efforts for Banff National Park. The views were stunning no matter which way you looked. We were there on a sunny day without a cloud in the sky so we could see everything. I can’t recommend it more highly!!!
