We had good experience visiting volcano national park, it was educational experience, went with family, have daughter who is middle schooler was worth it. To really show the volcanoes which is active. To study volcanic rock formations, history of earth in geologic terms.

We had a very knowledgeable tour guide in Nate - he was able to help us understand the processes going on to create the different volcanic landscapes. From black sand beach to the craters and steam vents in the National Park.

We had an excellent time. Andre our tour guide with Kapohokine Adventures was great and a wealth of volcano and Hawaiian knowledge. We loved the lava tube, the crater and all the dried lava fields. My son really loved the echo produced at the crater. Just wished we could have seen some lava at the end of the experience. But you can’t plan that. But besides that it couldn’t have been a better experience.
