  • What You Can Expect

Meet the guide and fellow travelers in downtown Denver. Along the scenic drive, pass the outdoor-loving, college town of Boulder, situated at the base of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Follow the road out of Lyons, through St. Vrain Canyon and down into the town of Estes Park. Pass the historic Stanley Hotel, made famous for it’s starring role in the movie 'the Shining.'

While entering Rocky Mountain National Park, experience the wonders that inspired early explorers to push for the protection of this amazing landscape. Catch a view of Long’s Peak, the park’s highest, soaring into the sky at 14,259 feet and the glacial-carved valleys, filled with Aspen and pine trees. The guide will lead the way to the best viewpoints, with plenty of time to hop out of the van and explore.

Summer: The summer tour begins after memorial weekend and ends mid October. Throughout the summer the tour will take you up trail ridge road to 13'000 feet. In the winter the high alpine road is closed and more time will be spent discovering the valley and its crystal clear alpine lakes.

All entrance and National Park fees are included and a brown bag lunch is provided.

Great tour, david was very insightful, would recommend!

Great tour, david was very insightful, would recommend!

What a great tour! I really recommend it.

In the beginning, it was not sure that the tour would take place due to low number of participants who had signed up. However, luckily a couple of people joined in the last 1-2 days before departure. End of April is still low season. I really appreciate the up-front proactive communication with Kathrin.

Michelle picked us up in front of the Union station. We drove towards the Rocky Mountain NP, making a stop in Lyons for a short break and to pick up our sandwich lunch. In the park itself, we made multiple stops with enough time to walk around and explore. Michelle is a fun person. Local to Colorado, she is passionate about mountains and lived in multiple locations around the US close to mountains. She is very knowledgeable about the park which helped us greatly with adjusting our itinerary to consider our preferences but also weather conditions etc. We ended up having lunch in a sunny scenic spot. On the way back, we stopped at a lake and the historic Stanley hotel. We returned on time as promised which allowed me to catch my train in the evening.

I took this tour on April 23rd with my boyfriend and we both loved it! Alice was a wonderful tour guide and shared with us the coolest facts about the places we went to. Though we started 30 minutes late because of a few missing passengers, Alice made sure she took us everywhere and put an extra 30 mins on the clock to make up for it. I would absolutely recommend Aspire Tours and would love to do a tour with them again.
