Stop At: The Cradle of Humankind, Krugersdorp North, Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site South Africa

The Cradle of Human Kind Museum is where the fossils are located and more information on the existence and discovery of human remains in Africa. We will get to understand why historians believe that a lot of us hail from Africa or we have an African heritage in our Blood.

Stop At: Sterkfontein Caves, 4 Kromdraai Road, Krugersdorp 1739 South Africa

These is where we begin our tour after arriving from our hotel in Johanensburg. We will get to know the discovery of Fossils in these caves and we will also take a 1 hour guided tour into these famous caves

Nic was a great guide. I was actually the only one who booked the tour, that's why we had plenty of time. He told me many interesting things about Johannesburg and the life here. I got picked up at 10 instead of 8. That changed my plan a bit. But Nic bought me directly to the airport afterwards, which was very convenient.

The best days to book the Rhino and Lion tour are Wednesday and Friday. You get to see the animals being fed. I enjoyed the tour. The guides were knowledgeable and cheerful. Def a must do!

The caves have (apparently!) been flooded for quite a while. Yet the full day experience is still sold! If it wasn't for me calling that company and demanding service, they would have forgotten me. NO REFUND of any kind has been offered - I was just taken to the visitor center (worth a visit) by an anonymous driver (not what you expect - or want! - in South Africa) and we were back in less than 4 hrs. Very disappointing. :( Admittedly, the driver was kind and happy to answer lots of questions about SA, so it was a bit of a 'compensation'.

The tour operator canceled one hour after my scheduled pick up at my hotel for the tour. No explanation, only citing unforeseen circumstances. I sent a note to confirm my booking a week before the scheduled tour date, got no response. After waiting an hour for my pick up, I sent a follow up note and got the above response. What an utter waste of my time. Don’t bother with this tour Operator, is my recommendation.
