Overview

Meeting at our Kicking Horse Basecamp, your trip begins right at the river, so that you can skip that extra time on a bus. We get you all geared up and go through all safety procedures before jumping on the rafts for what will be a wild and unforgettable experience. We aim for big water and big fun, but keep an emphasis on safety for all of our trips. The class III-IIII+ rapids will leave you feeling exhilarated and wanting more. Small group sizes equals big fun and a very personalized experience. We've been rafting for 45 years and the memories continue!

Stop At: Kicking Horse River, Highway 1, Golden, British Columbia Canada

Our guides will meet you at Kootenay River Runners basecamp and then take you down the upper and middle canyon of the Kicking Horse River... ensuring you hit every good rapid along the way.

  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems

Our trip on the kicking horse river was very fun! Our guide, Peter, made sure we knew how to properly paddle through the rapids and made the 18kms worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Awesome guides that really make the trip fun! Ben was knowledgeable and funny- great combo! The river is lower in early August, but we still managed to get a few good rapids in and get soaked in the process. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our guide Ben was super helpful and informative although he scared the crap out of us during the safety briefing! Rapids we were told we’re really low for the the time of year- pretty sure at least one of us would have fallen out if it had been high.
