Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. Many of the works of art are still in the historic settings for which they were first collected or commissioned by the kings and queens who have lived at Windsor.

Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the Castle with a free multimedia tour. From October to March, visitors can also walk through the sumptuous Semi-State Apartments, which served as the private rooms of George IV in the 19th century.

It is one of the largest examples of Perpendicular Gothic architecture in the West Country. We tried mapping out this trip on our own using two days and public transportation from London and then realized, for the price and the comfort, this tour was a great option. So glad we did it. Yes, it's a long day, but we were comfortable and guided throughout. The coach was comfortable and nice. No bathroom on board so plan accordingly, especially for the trip back to London from Bath, which is 2 hours. There is wifi and usb ports on board. We enjoyed our guide, Angela. She was pleasant and very knowledgeable with history background on each site and the roads along the way! The driver, Kadir, was excellent. The trip was smooth. Tip: pack some light food to eat otherwise you are trying to quickly find options at each stop which is never good. We didn't have a lot of time at each stop but it was adequate for us. We got to see Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath!! Another tip: this isnt a trip for little ones in my opinion. We had a family with very little ones and they struggled to keep up and the bus ride for them couldn't have been pleasant. And it wasn't pleasant for the rest of us either at one point! Also, get there early to pick your seat because it's yours for the day.

Magnificent trifecta all in one day, just book this trip! But, at Windsor, make sure you're given the EXACT address of where the bus is parked so you can find your way back! Also take a picture of the bus's license plate, because some of them are identical. Time is of the essence in bus tours and you don't want to miss your bus.

Eileen and John made a delightful excursion a very memorable one. Eileen knows her history and easily shares it with fun and wisdom while John safely negotiated the twists and turns of the road and gave us some beautiful scenery. It was just enough time for to visit these locations and decide which ones we would like to make a return visit. Bath is definitely one we would like to return for several days! What a gem! I highly recommend this tour.

Overall fantastic day trip. Peter the guide was superb. He was highly organized, knowledgeable, and kept the inevitable “bad tour guide jokes” to an absolute minimum. As for the bus ride, the coach was nice, clean and we always felt like we were in good hands with Raad the driver.
