Jim, our driver, did everything he could to allow us to see polar bears, even though it was the off season. We saw a mom and two cubs from a distance, we saw one napping on a rock but the highlight of the trip was his manoeuvring of the vehicle over huge rocks to give us a perfect view of a bear feeding. He also pointed out bald eagles, cranes, ducks and tundra geese and we got amazing photos.

We had a lovely tour with only 4 other passengers. Our guide Jim was super. He was excellent at finding wildlife. We were there on a hot day and there wasn't as much as usual yet he still make the tour interesting. The lunch on board was very good. It was interesting to see the tundra in the summer. I think we will come back for a tour in the winter.

My husband and I took the Summer day tour last week and had a nice time. Our guide, Jim, told great stories and had a great sense of humor. He did his best to find animals throughout the drive. He helped us see a polar bear, ptarmigans, red fox, bald eagle, tundra swans, and a variety of birds. It wasn’t yet polar bear season so we were happy to see the one we saw. The soup and sandwich lunch was good and could be altered in advance for vegans too. There is a bathroom on board and a viewing deck on the back of the buggy. A unique way to spend the day.

Was planning this trip, booked the tour and prepaid (required). A train derailment has prevent us from travelling to Churchill. All other events we have planned were canceled without effort or issue (they understand this is out of the visitors control). This organization refuses to refund the prepayment, saying they don't provide refunds. Do not use.

The tour was good, we saw some animals - actually I crossed off all animals I anticipated to see except snowy owl, although, we only see one individual of each species. What I have as a major disappointment is the neglect of covid measures: at lunch we were told not to go out to the platform to eat; so all 40 of us confined to the vehicle cabin and we all have to take off our masks. I opened my window, but it was a cold day so not many guests did the same. I can understand that Frontiers North wants to protect the ecology as much as possible by preventing food to drop onto the tundra (by mistake or by malice), however, this is an unusual time and we need to act accordingly. I believe the chance of food "escaping" onto the tundra is a lot smaller than someone catching covid in this case. Frontiers North please consider to relax this rule until the blunt of covid is behind us.
