Overview

The Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River is HEAVY ON SCENERY, WITH SOME FUN SMALL RAPIDS, depending on the water level and time of year. This is an area where many motion pictures and commercials have been filmed over the years. John Wayne and John Ford filmed a lot of old westerns in this area. Recently filmed in this area was The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer in 2013. More recently, HBO's Westworld, season 1, which premiered in 2016.

From the meeting point, you will be transported up Hwy 128 (Top 10 most scenic highways in America) to Hittle Bottom, approximately 25 miles. This will take 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic and other circumstances.

Today my family and I went on a full day rafting tour of the Colorado River. We had a great time floating down the river and learning about the environment around us. Our guide, John, was very nice and experienced as well. We would highly recommend this trip to others looking for a fun day in the river.

Spencer is the man! I’d go back today, but only for Spencer. He makes my heart sing. The bald eagles were beautiful, but not as beautiful as when Spencer took his shirt off.

WE GOT TO VISIT MOAB WITH FRIENDS WHO HAD BEEN GOING EVERY OTHER YEAR. THEY INSISTED WE TAKE A TRIP AT Adrift Adventures. IT WAS JUST SPECTACULAR. TO SEE THIS GREAT AREA BY RAFT WAS EXCEPTIONAL. OUR GUIDE CLAIRE TIPPED US OFF TO INTERESTING SIGHTS AS WELL AS HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT PIECES OF INFORMATION. THERE WAS NOT A QUESTION THAT WENT WITHOUT ANSWER. WORDS CAN NOT DO THIS TRIP JUSTICE. IT WAS FUN, SAFE, INSPIRING AND OF COURSE, EXCITING. WE WANT TO GO BACK!
