Seeing the old neighborhood, some of the buildings and their history and background, was very nostalgic and interesting. Our guide was well informed and the walk was at a pleasant pace. All in all, a most rewarding and satisfying experience, that I would highly recommend.

One participant was born and raised on St. Urbain St. in the 40's, 50's and he was able to offer some interesting personal details in addition to the general information provided. There was an interesting story told by someone, who serendipitously walked by the former ShomrimLaboker shul. He happened to be one of the new owners who explained why the brick Magen David was now sideways. Loved listening and learning from the questions asked by the Chicago family who was on the tour, and, overall enjoyed the history. Excellent value for our money. Tal was a good guide:).

My family and I loved this tour. We learned a great deal and it was so interesting to be ensconsed in one particular neighborhood and understand how Jews flocked to the neighborhood and ultimately thrived there. We felt like we were really a part of that time and place. Our guide (don't know her name - was on 8/17 in the afternoon) was terrific. She knew so much about the history and made it come alive. Highly recommend the tour!
