Our guide Maura Lee was amazing! She really brought the tour to life and showed her passion for Anne and PEI. She gave great demonstrations, told interesting stories and even brought some comedy relief! We were blessed with beautiful weather as well, which helped highlight the coastal views and the Green Gables house.

Island Drive & Anne of Green Gables Tour was amazing, it's La Vacanza Travel we are upset with. They offered us a low price guarantee and then would not refund the low price, they are very unprofessional.

Loved the tour. The bus driver and tour guide were very knowledgeable. Each stop on the tour was great, especially Green Gables!

I've wanted to see the Anne of Green Gables homestead for a long, long time, and our visit didn't disappoint--once we got there, that is. The "Island Drive" and tour was a disappointment, but had so much potential. We ended up on the bus of a woman who spouted a lot of incorrect facts (like telling us P.E.I. produced 25% of the world's potatoes where it's just 25% of CANADA's potatoes) and muttering things like, "I think that building coming up on the right is a laboratory or something?" Mainly she spent our long drive through this incredible landscape droning on about how little snow they got last year and how climate change and overuse of plastics were destroying the world, while she missed every opportunity to tell us about the island itself, and about L.M. Montgomery and her delightful stories and books (the whole reason we were on the tour). So the tour itself was awful, but the homestead was delightful and quaint, and the visitor's center at Anne of Green Gables offered a wonderful array of stories and artifacts about L.M. Montgomery's life and work. You do have to know and love the Anne of Green Gables stories to fully appreciate this excursion, though, so brush up (maybe even watch the movies!) before you go.

I walked about visiting the house because it's real and the character is fictional, but the house and museum are actually related to Lucy Maud Montgomery. The house did actually inspire her, so it was sweet to go. Our guide was terrific. She told nuggets of history, along with stories about PEI current industry and people. I really enjoyed myself.
