A great morning with Jack and John by bus visiting some of the locations of the film and learning about the way the film making of. Jack is a funny and helpful guide with a wonderful and clear english.

We combined this with a private Mozart Tour. Our guide, Peter, was fantastic and combined the tours very nicely. He was kind and thoughtful to keep a good portion of the tour out of the cold weather that we had on the day of the tour.

Happy we paid to do the expensive private tour on Christmas Day. Interesting and knowledgeable guide. Very structured tour with rigid timelines however. Showed some flexibility when we had an extra 15-20 minutes to visit Maria Plain church. I’m such a Sound of Music fan and have wanted to visit the Salzburg sites since I was 5. Would have like just a little more time to soak in the stories but the tour is a very strict 4 hours.

David our private tour guide was fantastic! His love and knowledge of the sound of music is incredible. I would highly recommend his tour! We had seven people in our group which made it perfect for the van ride. The views are so stunning in person. The private tour flexibility allowed us to spend our desired time at each stop and enjoy every second of this amazing tour. In addition, there are a few expectations we would have liked to know prior: you cannot go inside Abbey or Von Trapp house, gazebo is part of the tour but not original, and the Austrian Alps get dark quick in December. We were able to save time by private tour drive up service to many spots.
