Celebrating our 2nd Wedding Anniversary
We had a wonderful time! The company was right on time... the air conditioned tour bus picked us up at a local hotel, near ours and then we made our way to downtown and picked up other passengers. Along the way, Freddie our tour guide is an older gentleman who is native to the Toronto and Canada area. He was GREAT!.... he was very knowledgeable about all the old historic buildings and landmarks along the way to Niagara Falls.
We stopped at the Wine school for a brief wine tasting, and bought a bottle of their ICE WINE.
We stopped along the way to Whirlpool Falls for brief photo opportunity and then on to Niagara Falls with a light lunch at the Queen Victoria Restaurant, and a ride on the Hornblower which takes you right up to the falls for a once in a lifetime sopping wet ride!
I wished we would have had the opportunity to stay longer in Niagara Falls and see the town. It looked like there was a lot to see, but had no time to really enjoy this beautiful city.
After leaving Niagara Falls, we headed to Niagara on the Lake.... such a quaint beautiful little town... we were allowed about 45 minutes here, just barely enough time to do a little gift shopping and then back to the bus. Again, I would have loved to have spent more time here as well, 45 minutes just wasn't long enough.
I would definitely recommend this excursion if you are in the Toronto area wanting to visit Niagara Falls.
If you have the opportunity to stay in Niagara Falls, I would recommend that too!
