Shoutout to Chirag (Happy Carpet) for being a fantastic host. We got full insights from the train station through to the ice cream store. We got to meet amazing other people along the way. I was easily able to switch from alcoholic to non-alcoholic, and it became an inside joke for the rest of the tour. A lot of effort was put into making sure that our food was ready for us the moment we arrived at each restaurant.

As part of our first-time visit to Vancouver and after having done food tours in other countries we've visited, we booked the Gastown Historic Walking Food Tour. We were very pleased because Sean, our guide, was not only knowledgeable with his historical overview of the Gastown district, but he also provided us with 7 different food tastings with each one seeming to surpass the previous one. Sean was patient with us and added lots of anecdotes as well as suggestions for other great eateries in the Gastown area. An excursion like this provides a great way to meet/socialize with new people, a geographic introduction to the city, and ideas for where you may want to plan a followup meal. We really enjoyed the tour and would do it again. L and V Williams, Atlanta area, Georgia, USA

Great guide, nice group size, nice variety of food but not stuffed in the end. I can easily recommend this tour of Gastown.

David was engaging, entertaining and knowledgeable- great attributes in a guide. He brought both the food and the history to life for our group of nine from the US and Australia. The food stops gave a good sense of the variety available in Gastown and, with the exception of the lukewarm poutine at Six Acres was uniformly delicious . The frequent stops made the three hours of the tour manageable for us over 65s. On top of all this, my wife’s request to be able to avoid red meat was accommodated with great consideration. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
