  • What You Can Expect

Experience the beauty of the Pacific Northwest as a local guide provides you with a comprehensive tour of Vancouver's major attractions and highlights, such as Stanley Park, Chinatown, and Gastown.
    • Stanley Park – Stanley Park is a 1000-acre playground with stunning city views, mountain backdrops, and the salty smell of the Pacific Ocean. See why it was named the top park in the entire world and continues to rank as one of the best parks in the world.
    • Gastown – See Maple Tree Square, Vancouver’s oldest architecture, and the world famous steam powered clock.
    • Chinatown – Great restaurants, shopping, and interesting architecture (like the world’s thinnest building), all for your senses to feast upon.
    • Granville Island – This tiny peninsula is a hotbed for good food and great art. Spend time browsing artisan workshops or get some great food and even better views waterside at the Granville Island Public Market.

Then, drive over a true Vancouver landmark, the Lion’s Gate Bridge, a 5,890-foot (1,823-meter) bridge that offers unparalleled views of Vancouver Harbor, English Bay, and beyond.

Once across the Bridge and in the North Shore, the tour continues on a short drive up the mountain to the Capilano Fish Hatchery. Here you will learn about the life cycle of salmon and depending on the season (July-August), watch them as they leap their way upriver.

Next, head over to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, known as a world-famous foot bridge, to walk among the towering trees of the surrounding temperate rainforest and learn the traditions of the Coast Salish indigenous people. Then cross the infamous 446-foot (136-meter) bridge to the other side of the river to a climb into the canopy and walk through the Treetops Adventure walkway high above the canyon and river below.

For those seeking a more thrilling experience, try the Cliffwalk, the newest attraction at the Capilano Suspension Bridge. This adrenaline-pumping journey travels through the rainforest on a series of suspended walkways built out from the granite cliff face to give the group access to unexplored territories of the park.

This was an enjoyable trip around the Vancouver area and the Capilano Bridge. The bridge is the highlight of the trip, but Stanely Park and the knowledge of the guide made for fun tour.

Best tour on our eleven day vacation and worth the price! Our guide Erick was fabulous! He was sensitive to my fear of heights and even offered to hold my hand as we walked across the suspension bridge. Without him, I would not have crossed over and back again. Erick provided excellent service with a gentle style and personal touch. The scenery was spectacular, Vancouver a marvelous city, and Erick made it all sparkle. I highly recommend this tour!

If you can afford it, and the tour guide is fabulous, this is the ultimate way to take a tour. Our tour guide, Erick, was absolutely wonderful. My twin sister and I travel a lot together and, being older, we sometimes require a bit more time and reassurance on more strenuous or "frightening" tours. In this case, crossing a pedestrian suspension bridge over a gorge, taking a chair lift over high terrain, and doing a cliff walk on a suspended walkway, warranted the expense of a private tour. And our tour was worth every penny! Erick was able to easily relate to each of us as individuals, offer assistance when fear presented itself, and even sang a song in Portuguese, when my sister became tense on the chairlift. He was truly fabulous! Never condescending, always positive, friendly, outgoing, and informative. By far, the best tour ever! If you wish to get individualized, un-rushed attention from a consummate guide, take this tour and ask for Erick.
