IMPORTANT: We practice catch & release for ALL trips. Under NO exceptions do we keep fish to bring home to eat. A guided fishing trip is a great way to experience everything beautiful Whistler has to offer; wildlife, glaciers, rain forests and of course...wild fish. For all our trips we put you in a pair of stylish waders and boots and walk along lakes, creek mouths and rivers in pursuit of wild trout & salmon. Depending on the time of year, our guide will select a water body that will ensure the highest probability of putting you on fish.

  • All guests must weigh between 80-250 lbs (36-113 kgs) due to limited equipment at this time
  • All guests must be between 12 - 75 years of age

  • Tours are not private. Your group may be combined with another group
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

My brother and I were visiting Whistler for the week and as the snow was melting we found Matt, the owner and guide for this fly fishing adventure. We booked a short 3 hour trip. I had zero experience in fly fishing. He was a wealth of knowledge and extremely thorough and patient in teaching. He walked me through every single step from start to finish. With his guidance and expertise we were led to the best spots for fishing and we both landed trout! I caught a bull trout and my brother a rainbow trout! It was exhilarating for us as brother and sister to experience together and Matt's excitement for our success was contagious!! He genuinely loves his job. He has a deep respect for nature and proper handling of the fish as well as his guests. He made certain to maintain a fun, professional environment, while abiding by the rules of fishing and safety. This particular excursion was my favorite of the entire trip and I would do it 100 more times if I could! Highly recommend Matt and Whistler-Year-Round Fishing!

Matt was an amazing guide. He’s well prepared, knowledgeable, on-time, patient and a great teacher. He picked us up from our hotel and took us to two different fishing spots. We caught about ten fish and had a blast. I would recommend Matt to anyone looking for a fun, memorable experience.
