Overview

Take a guided hike to the glacier snow and ice atop Whistler Mountain on this guided, 2-hour, interpretive walking tour.

Take in the natural landscape sculpted by glacier ice. See the summer snow and travel back in time to 10,000 years ago to learn about the formation of the Whistler Glacier and have a chance to play on the ice and snow.

Suitable for ages 8 and up.

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

After taking the Whistler Village Gondola up the mountain the tour starts at the mountaintop office where the guide gives the guests their gear. You then start hiking to the base of the Whistler Glacier.

The guide gives an interpretive tour with lots of information about local geology, animals, fauna and other interesting notes. Get your hands on the summer snow high above Whistler and enjoy the cooling breezes coming down off the glacier.

This is a great place to take breath-taking photos.

I was the only one on the tour. My guide was super friendly and his history about the glaciers and the mountains was very impressive. Even though I was the only one, he took his time with me and made it a very memorable experience

Tasch and Rob were fantastic guides. They made sure we were equipped with the proper equipment and provided the boots, helmet and pick axe. It is a difficult hike. I would recommend for people in great shape who are able to hike up the snowy and rocky mountain. I had a hard time keeping up with the group, but Tasch stayed back with me and helped me with every difficult step. Tasch( I know I spelled your name wrong) you were the most patient and kind young man. I would not have made it to the top without your help. TY for this once in a lifetime experience.
