We took this tour for three nights and it was wonderful! We had one cloudy night but we had great aurora the other two nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. Julian and Steve were really professional. They took us to the best spots to view the aurora - even on the cloudy night Julian made a lot of effort to find a clear spot despite the unfavorable weather conditions. They also took unlimited photos for all of us! We really enjoyed the tour experience as a whole - it felt private and relaxing, and we never felt rushed. I would book this tour again if I ever come back to Yellowknife. Highly recommended!

Our experience was good. Julian and Steve were professional. They do need to change the description to say hot chocolate will be provided and remove the snacks part as we did not receive anything.

In summary - a tour with  competitive price, with professional photo service, which is great. However, be really careful with communication, as we almost missed a tour bus because of lack of communication. We booked a tour for 2 night to see the Aurora.  Interestingly the experience are so different between both nights. Since we paid for the tour, noone contacted us again.  I needed  to email them to make sure someone will pick up us that night. The first night went well. A tour guide picking us up in a white van. He was friendly and willing to take photos for everyone. He brought us to the ice road and then a camp and he set a fire for us to keep warm. Then the second night - again there was no communication. I assume the same guide would come with the same van to pick us up. We waited in the lobby at least 10 minutes before the pick up time, but noone called out our name. We saw a man walking and talking to other people in the lobby but that man never called out our names. Then after waiting for a while, I looked up my email and found out that he sent an email to me saying that he's been waiting for 10 minutes and would leave after a specific time. That time passed already!  I was terrified of missing a bus that night. I called the number right away but no one picked up the phone. They said to text the number instead so I texted them. Luckily this time he responded and he said he's about to pass out hotel again so he would pick us up. Once the bus came, this is the black bus (unlike the white van from the day before) and he's the guy who we saw in our lobby (which was not the guy from the day before). He said he called out my names but both of us, looking at him many times when he's at the lobby, never heard my name. Then that night the Aurora activity was great. The photo was taken professionally by him BUT it was so quick like a production in a factory. He asked people to line up and once finished taking photo for the first person he asked the second one to come in the frame and counted 3-2-1 so quickly.  In the last few stops people were tired already so only a few groups came to take a photo. After a few turns, he then said 'this is the last photo for you guys since you were taking too many'! This was purely unnecessary since there were no one else lining up for the photo. I think this reflected his bad attitude towards the customers. Also, this night for some reasons, we did not get to any camps - we only sat in the bus and went to different stops. It's fortunate that we didn't feel the need to use the washroom but if we need to, I wondered that the request would be fulfilled, given how bad attitude he expressed. The photos taken were beautiful. However, I need to email him to get the link for photo from the first night. So as in the summary above, you can go for this tour but be very careful about communication. (The other night we went for a different tour and the communication was different. Attentive, careful, timely -especially when we were picked up from the lobby, the tour guide from the other tour printed our names on a paper and showed that to make sure that we know they were picking us up. Photos were taken without any complaint.)

Very personable couple leading the tour, saw some amazing aurorae, and they took some very fine photos of the guests. The group was only 28 tourists so it was not like one of those other mega groups out of Whitehorse.
