Stop At: Airlie Beach, Great Barrier Reef QLD 4805, Australia

- Check-in at the Coral Sea Marina North End - Meeting Point B at 7:30am.
- Tour departs from the Coral Sea Marina at 8:00am sharp.
- Travel by high speed catamaran to first Outer Reef Snorkel site, arriving at 9:45am, while taking in the beautiful scenery of the Whitsunday Islands and morning tea.
- Safety briefing conducted at the first Outer Reef site - 9:45am to 10:00am.
- In water activities at first Outer Reef site 10:00am - 11:30am.
- Depart for second Outer Reef site.
- Arrive at second Outer Reef site 12:00pm.
- Explore second Outer Reef site 12:00pm - 2:00pm.
- Lunch served 12:30pm - 1:15pm.
- Depart Outer Reef for the Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach 2:00pm.
- Kick back and relax on the return journey to Airlie Beach, taking in the beautiful scenery of the Whitsunday Islands with a tasty beverage from our fully licensed bar 2:15pm to 4:00pm.
- Return to the Coral Sea Marina at 4pm.

For travellers who cannot swim, the skipper reserves the right to, and may refuse snorkelling in the open water due to safety reasons. We do have alternative tour Thundercat experience Whitsunday Island and Whitehaven Beach along with 2 snorkels near to the Hook Island which is suitable for those less confident in the water.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund

Amazing trip. 5 stars isn’t enough ! The crew (Reece, Mark, Jamie and Ben) couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. As the outer reef was quite rough that day we came back to Manataray Bay to feed fish and snorkel. That combined with the great trip was enough to make us book a second trip with red cat to Whitehaven Beach and 2 snorkel spots. Can’t recommend highly enough - so much better and more personal than the trip on the large boat we had prior!

Absolutely fantastic day out, felt looked after, had so much fun. Ella and Riley were top drawer who looked after us, if I could give 6* I would.

It was a great day! At the beginning of the day, I was a bit disappointed as the sea condition was very rough, so instead of going out to the outer barrier reef, the ship had to go to different locations near the islands for safety reasons. However, it turned out to be a great experience, as in those locations we still got to see beautiful corals and colourful fish. The captain and the crew are extremely friendly. They were taking care of my family well and trying to entertain my 7-year-old daughter in all ways, such as by letting her feed the fish in the fish feeding activity, showing her where to spot Nemo and sharing with her the interesting shells they collected. My daughter enjoyed this trip very much. I really appreciate their service.

What a truly AMAZING day with Red Cat on their Outer Reef Snorkel tour on March 24, 2024! We were on Thundercat taking the Red Cat Whitehaven Beach tour yesterday and had so much fun that we took this Outer Reef tour. What a great decision we made. The Red Cat Crew of Captain Reece, Captain Tommy, Captain Mark and Deck Hands Jamie and Will were professional, safety minded, efficient, and made this such a fun tour. I cannot image taking any other vendor than Red Cat. At the cruise terminal, Heather of SeaLink recommended this tour. Heather was AMAZING! We snorkeled Sinker Reef both outside and inside the reef for close to 3 hours. Fish everywhere. The coral at Sinker Reef was truly spectacular. Captain Reece was so helpful in providing insights about the reef, snorkeling, fish we'll see and more! I'm from the USA and to see the Great Barrier Reef is a bucket list item. CHECK! This boat, crew and tour overall EXCEEDED my expectations. Everything about the tour went perfectly! The Wild Cat boat was smooth in the water. I give my HIGHEST POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION to Red Cat. I am absolutely planning to come back here and do this tour again - It was that much worth it.

The trip was amazing! We got to see the most beautiful beach in the world … a lot of steps though 😃. I loved snorkeling and seeing the Great Barrier Reef. The crew was fantastic and served a nice lunch and snacks. I would highly recommend!!!
