The stories from the captain were fun and the indormations veru helpful. It was perfect that the boat had closed windows and was hot since it was a Einey day.

Six of us in our group. First Boat reeked from stench of bathroom which smelled like it hadn’t been cleaned in a year. We said somethingMy to the girl taking tickets and she encouraged us to take the next boat leaving in 30 minutes so we could get seats away from the bathroom. We gladly agreed. we were the first people to board the second boat and all six took seats facing forward at tables. The captain came on and asked one couple to move because “other people might want to face forward.” We declined, telling her we paid for the seats we were in and had every right to face forward. She replied that since we were a group we should be happy to sit facing together. “You sit facing your friends in a restaurant, don’t you?” Not the same thing. We were on a canal cruise . We reiterated that we paid for the seats we were in and weren’t moving. To which she replied, “It’s just basic logic that you would move and sit facing each other.” Other patrons around us were shaking their heads in disbelief at her rudeness. She then told us the boat wouldn’t move until one of us did. One couple agreed to move. Shortly after the boat left the dock a family decided to move toward the back where the top was open so our friends moved into those seats, allowing them to face forward. A totally unnecessary terse interaction with the rude captain who seemed to be on some sort of power trip. Smelly boat was bad enough but her attitude was even worse. Be forewarned. Not a great company. There have to be much better options.

Perfect introduction to the city. Good audio tour (in English, with options for other languages via your phone) plus commentary from the driver, who was friendly, making sure we didn't miss the highlights and slowing down so we could get photos. We had just arrived by train from the airport, so it was a very relaxing way to start our holiday! Nice and warm inside, comfy seats.
