Overview

This 5,5-hour tour departs from Central Station Amsterdam to Holland’s colorful Keukenhof Park. Travel by air-conditioned bus through an area with endless tulip fields, one of the country’s most photographed and iconic landscapes.

You can choose between an audio-guided bus tour, which includes a multilingual audio guide and a free LOVERS Canal Cruise, or a non-audio-guided tour. The non-audio-guided tour offers a saver option with an afternoon transfer only, or a non-saver option with transfers to and from Keukenhof. You can also combine Keukenhof with a Dutch countryside tour.

At Keukenhof, simply skip the line and enter one of the largest flower parks in the world with over 7 million flower bulbs including tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils.

Dozens of gardeners work for months to get the park in shape. The bulbs are arranged according to a different theme every year. Enjoy approximately 3 hours to explore the park on your own before the return trip to Amsterdam Centraal Station.

  • The Keukenhof Gardens and Tulip Fields are open for a limited time each year; while the staff at Keukenhof Gardens works very hard to ensure the seven million tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and spring bulbs are in bloom during this eight-week period, the cycle of blooming flowers depends heavily on weather conditions. You are guaranteed to see a mixture of flowers in bloom from March to May, but April travel dates are recommended for the greatest chance to see the gardens at their very best, including the tulips.

I arrived at the meeting point scanned my voucher they printed out tickets and gave them to me. We walked to the bus. They ripped our tickets and gave us the other half. We arrived at the garden The driver said be back at the bus at 4 o’clock for pick up . when I got to the gate, they said these were not good tickets so I had to walk back to the bus area to exchange my tickets to get the correct tickets. So at 3:45 we walk back to the bus area to get picked up 4 o’clock passes and our bus is not here. We speak to the woman working at the bus depot and she says oh your bus is not arriving till 450 everyone sitting there is so upset we were The time and had to stay there for an extra hour for the bus.

Highly recommended. About a 30 min bus ride from Centraal Station to the site which is a large landscaped park augmented with 6 venues where food, restrooms and gifts are found. The tulips were simply amazing. Hundreds of varieties, and hundreds of thousands of tulips, seemingly all at peak (April 23rd), and lovely fountains and waterways throughout the park. Even the rhododendron bushes were beginning to blossom. The tulip plantings are thoughtfully done with interesting mixes of color and variety. We said “wow!” At least 20 times. It took about 2 1/4 hours of casual strolling, with stops at 3 of buildings for a break. A couple of tips. (1) a few elected to ride their bikes there from Amsterdam. Don’t do that. It’s close to two hours in one direction, and the weather is always windy and changeable with frequent rain; plus the countryside isn’t that interesting along the route and in some areas is actually quite industrial. (2) your voucher advises that you arrive 30 min early at Centraal Station to convert your voucher into a ticket. Do that if you want to stand in a long line and miss your bus. Instead, arrive earlier to conduct the transaction; there’s a lovely shop next door to the ticket office with delightful coffee and brioche and more.

The busses are great, left in time, a little walk to board it, they have usb outlets on the bus, you get back to the same point, place is amazing, lots to walk.

I will never use La Vacanza Travel tour again. I’ve had problems in the past but, I thought I’d give them another try. Bad idea!! There information about how to obtain my ticket was vague and misleading. They need to be more clear. Thankful the busdriver had an extra PAPER TICKET and let go on tour!
