Your Egyptologist guide will meet you at Luxor station in private, air-conditioned vehicle, ready to explore the highlights of ancient Thebes, the dynastic and religious capital of Egypt for much of the Middle Kingdom and New Kingdom eras, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your first stop is the West Bank, home to the ancient Egyptian funerary complex also known as the City of the Dead. It's full of the richly decorated tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs: your guide will introduce the highlights of three tombs.

Another short drive brings you to the Colossi of Memnon, two vast seated statues of the pharaoh Amenhotep III. They once fronted his grand mortuary temple and portray the king sitting on his throne.

Amazing Experience!!! This was the highlight of our trip. The level of knowledge, professionalism, hospitality and overall kindness of everyone involved with this tour were outstanding! There was clear communication before our trip via WhatsApp with confirmation via WhatsApp text at every step of travel. We were met in our hotel lobby in Cairo by our driver who took us to the train station and stayed to chat with us until the train arrived to be sure we knew exactly where to go. He was a wealth of knowledge about Egypt and very fun to talk to. The train was really fun for us but might not be for everyone (see below). The cars are small and dated/worn but clean and the food was simple but good (like airplane food) and the train attendant showed us where everything was in our car and made sure we got off at the correct stop. We were both able to sleep well. Linens, pillow, and blanket provided were clean and comfortable. The beds were twin bunks and were firm but not uncomfortable. Our Luxor Guide was one of the best guides we have had on this whole trip. He took us to each stop and explained the history of the temples/tombs and paintings very well. His English was great and he was able to answer any questions we had. I loved that he walked us through each site and explained all this history and then gave us as much time as we needed at each site to further explore on our own and take pictures. He is an excellent story teller. He also wore a bright yellow shirt and was easy to find at all times. He was very considerate and made sure we had water and shade when possible as the day was quite warm and I am from Alaska and don't tolerate desert temperatures that well. The temples/tombs in Luxor are amazing and beautiful and not to be missed! They were astounding to see in person, for me every more so that the pyramids of Gaza. I would highly rec adding additional temples to your tour if you have time (we did). I my opinion you really cannot visit Egypt and not explore Luxor. At the end of the day we were once again taken right to the train station and helped to be sure we got on the correct car/train. We were met at the station by the same amazing driver who was able to use our location on WhatsApp to be sure we disembarked at the correct stop and who took us back to our hotel. In summary: If you are in Egypt I highly recommend a tour of Luxor with this company for anyone!! I highly recommend using the sleeper train (included in this tour) as well but it may not be what you are looking for if you have back or mobility problems or are very particular about sleeping accommodations.
