Day 1: Giza Pyramids Sakkara Memphis the sound and light show

Stop At: Giza Necropolis, Al Haram, Giza Governorate 3512201, Egypt
Meet your guide at 8:00am in the lobby of your hotel, where he will escort you to the Giza pyramids. Then after a short drive you will travel to the Sphinx. Soak up the panoramic views and enjoy a 30 minute camel ride and see all the area.

Stop At: Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids, Al Giza Desert, Saqqara 12919 Egypt
Sakkara where you will have the opportunity to see the step pyramid built for King Zoser and explore some amazing tombs. You will have lunch in a good quality restaurant overlooking the Sphinx and the pyramids and then be transferred back to your hotel.

You'll have some leisure time before meeting your guide who will take you to dinner at the Nile cruise.

I wish only Ahmed was our guide for 2 days trip. Driver was no nice person as well. We missed him a lot for 2nd day trip. However, bad thing was that too many shopping course for guide incentive. 1 or 2 is fine for 2 days but 5 shopping area was so meaningless and waste time. I give you 3 stars for Ahmed and driver.

We booked this 2 day trip based on the various 5 star reviews on the Let's Explore tour on TripAdvisor. But I would urge you to look at the average to poor reviews before you commit a tour with them and part with your valuable money and time. This in no way reflects on the ability of our guide (Ahmed) who was extremely knowledgeable about the Egyption history and our driver (Mohammed). They were both execellent. My comments are aimed at the general manager Mena who got in touch the day before the tour but refused to reply to my messages or return phone calls when I reached out to him after the tour because of organisational issues we encountered on the tour. It is obvious that Let's Explore is not concerned about customer satisfaction as the mark of any good company would be to wnat to understand the issue, acknowledge a problem and eventually learn from their mistakes. Both my wife and I are vegetarian and we let Let's Explore knew at the time of booking. On Day 1 the restaurant was satisfactory. However, on day 2 lunch was organised near Giza while most of our sightseeing was in ancient and old Cairo and a visit to 2 museums - NECM and Egytian Museum. The itinerary organised by Let's Explore would have meant that we would end up for lunch well after 4pm as they wanted to take us there af the end of a full day tour! The company could have planned it better. We complained to our guide that this was unreasonable and after discussion with Let's Explore we were taken to a fast food joint called Kazaz (not a sit down restaurant) near the Egyptian Museum which had a limited veg choice (see photos). In the end we insisited that we get taken to Hilton (behind the Egyptian Museum) and that we would pay for our lunch rather than eat at Kazaz (which Let's Explore did refund us in the end). However we ended up wasting almost 1 hour which meant rushing through the Egyptian Museum which closed at 5pm. We coud have done with one more hour as there was lots to see. Feel diappointed as we missed the opportunity - we do not know when we will be back in Cairo.

Throughout my visit, I was guided by Nour and driven by Desokey. Both were incredibly hospitable and knowledgable about Egyptian history and culture and treated me to traditional meals, snacks, and experiences. Nour was clearly an expert on all of the landmarks we visited, giving detailed explanations on each location's past and identity, also taking great pictures along the way. Desokey was the best driver one could ask for, navigating the hectic Egyptian traffic with ease and explaining landmarks we would drive by as well. Overall a very enjoyable experience and I highly recommend for anyone with an extended layover in this beautiful city.

Cario, with a city of a population of at least 25m, being dropped in downtown can be rather overwhelming. Although it is a very safe city both during day and night time, it’s easy to get lost in the many different areas. We had a wonderful time with our tour guide and driver (Siad and Ayman) , being launched immediately in a full Cario experience. We were lucky with the season, not being busy this year and had great access to all the big sights one wants to check off. The tour guide and the driver were knowledgeable as well as had a good sense of humour and had access to areas that you wouldn’t be able to get to without them. We were able to get extremely close to some of the great sights such as the pyramids and sphinx as well as getting an inside look in how people live in this city. The tour itself was flexible and the tour guides adjusted the itinerary based on the traffic and unexpected events such as the light show being cancelled. We had a really good time overall and laughed a lot. The food was great and everything was well. One thing that some people may be put off by is that the tour involves going to shops and places that expect you to buy something but it is completely up to you. It is important for the guides to give back to the Egyptian people. They were also very thoughtful and helped us plan the rest of our trip by giving suggestions. The finish the review, see this tour as more of an introduction to Egypt and check off the big ones before continuing your travel down south; don’t expect detailed archeological insights but more of a launchpad into the Egyptian experience!

An excellent option to learn about the history of Egypt, including the most notable pyramids in Cairo and the Egyptian Museum. The attention of our guide Sherif and our driver Hassan was incredible, they know the history and culture of the city perfectly and are very friendly, in addition, the restaurants we went to and the Nile cruise met our expectations. I highly recommend this tour, congratulations!
