Itinerary

Day 1: Banff Canyons, Lakes & Highpoints

Stop At: Johnston Canyon, Banff National Park, Alberta Canada
Johnston Canyon to the lower falls, a short easy hiking trail with bridges leading to a great reward at the end, beautiful water colour, and very picturesque rock formations along the canyon.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Stop At: Banff Avenue, Banff, Banff National Park, Alberta Canada
The famous downtown Banff, where you can enjoy lunch, do a bit of shopping, have a beavertail for dessert, take a photo in the middle of the street, cross a bridge or two, checkout a museum, or hangout by the river.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Lake Minnewanka Scenic Drive, Banff, Banff National Park, Alberta T1L 1K2 Canada
This is one of my favourite lakes in Banff, bring your shorts and go for a swim! Here you can rent a canoe, motorboat, or a kayak. Don't forget your towel and sunscreen!
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Stop At: Banff Norquay Summer Sightseeing and Via Ferrata, 2 Mt Norquay Rd, Banff, Banff National Park, Alberta T1L 1B4 Canada
To end the day we'll take a ride on a ski lift to a breathtaking lookout overlooking the town of Banff and Vermillion Lakes! And if we get lucky, we might see bears or other wildlife right under us as we ride to the top!
Duration: 1 hour

Day 2: Saving the best of Banff for last!

Stop At: Lake Louise, Improvement District No. 9, AB T0L, Canada
This lake is definitely a crowd pleaser, from the views of Victoria Glacier, to the lookouts on the mountains around, to the trail along the lake, and the famous red canoes available for rent, there are plenty of things to do here. You can be sure that this place will stay in your heart and memory for years to come.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Moraine Lake, Improvement District No. 9, AB T0L, Canada
Our second stop is one of the most photographed areas of Banff, the astonishing Moraine Lake! My favourite lake in all the parks in the area, not only offers surreal views, the feeling of being present in front of such natural beauty will humble even the highest expectations anyone might have, word can't describe this place.

This area is only accessible from mid June to mid September, make sure to enjoy it!

We'll have time to enjoy lunch at the local cafeteria and hike the easy rockpile trail to see the lake from above.

Frisk glacier water perfect for a polar plunge, or maybe you'll like to rent a canoe, or just relax in the serenity of the lake, or simply sit down and take in all the beauty around you.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Bow Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta Canada
Next stop is Bow Lake, the area offers views of a tall glacier waterfall in the background, the birth of the Bow River along yet another famous place, the Icefield Parkway.

We will take a short walk to the lake side to enjoy the views, you'll feel the frigid water with your hands and find out why not many chose to swim at this lake.

This is an incredible spot for unique photos of Banff!!!
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Peyto Lake, Improvement District No. 9, AB T0L, Canada
Our last stop for the day will be at Payto Lake, named after Bill Payto who was both an early pioneer and park warden. This glacier lake can be seen from a lookout above the lake, offering incredible 360 degree views of the lake and the valley. You will have a hard time leaving this stunning and amazing area.

Beautiful sites were seen. Tour guides Gordon and Murray were amazing for sure. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Murray from Banff Day Trips gave us detailed instructions and precious insider knowledge that made each stop a good time. He was prompt and very sensitive to how each one in our tour group felt. He gave options, to keep both the more active and less active travelers happy. At one point, someone was too scared to ride the ski lift, Murray saved the day by riding with her and keeping the conversation on the lift on a reassuring and peaceful note.

First. Class. Operation. These folks really love what they do, and it shows. Kevin the owner, who answered our every email, question and concern ahead of time; and Murray, our burly gentleman of a tour guide, absolutely MADE our visit in Banff the amazing, spectacular, "bucket list" experience we had hoped for. Period. Without them, we would have been stuck in lines trying to figure out what and where to go (National Park Passes are required EVERYWHERE - AND, private or single vehicles are not allowed to park close to the major attractions due to space limitations. We opted for two days of private tours (three ladies), which allowed us a bit of flexibility and adaptation for what we wanted to do. Murray was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and saw to our every need. They do offer group tours, but for us, sharing the cost of the private tour was so worth it. Like I said, having a hassle free time in and around Banff allowed us to pack in as much as possible during our time there. And we really packed in a lot! Kevin even recommended restaurants when we asked and both were stellar. Don't look anywhere else for tours in the Banff area. Head on over to their website to see what all they have available and don't hesitate to ask questions. You'll be glad you did!

Wonderful 2 days exploring what Banff has to offer! With a full itinerary for the two days we had a incredible experience with Kevin and his team. Whilst on the tour we had indepth knowledge of the places we visited and the mountains around them, offering group photos and catering for all your needs with suggestions for lunch, hikes and shopping whilst out on tours! Plenty of restroom stops for any nervous travellers and bottles of water supplied. I could not recommend this tour enough to anyone who wants to see what Banff National park has to offer!
