Day 2: Saving the best of Banff for last!
Stop At: Lake Louise, Improvement District No. 9, AB T0L, Canada
This lake is definitely a crowd pleaser, from the views of Victoria Glacier, to the lookouts on the mountains around, to the trail along the lake, and the famous red canoes available for rent, there are plenty of things to do here. You can be sure that this place will stay in your heart and memory for years to come.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Moraine Lake, Improvement District No. 9, AB T0L, Canada
Our second stop is one of the most photographed areas of Banff, the astonishing Moraine Lake! My favourite lake in all the parks in the area, not only offers surreal views, the feeling of being present in front of such natural beauty will humble even the highest expectations anyone might have, word can't describe this place.
This area is only accessible from mid June to mid September, make sure to enjoy it!
We'll have time to enjoy lunch at the local cafeteria and hike the easy rockpile trail to see the lake from above.
Frisk glacier water perfect for a polar plunge, or maybe you'll like to rent a canoe, or just relax in the serenity of the lake, or simply sit down and take in all the beauty around you.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Bow Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta Canada
Next stop is Bow Lake, the area offers views of a tall glacier waterfall in the background, the birth of the Bow River along yet another famous place, the Icefield Parkway.
We will take a short walk to the lake side to enjoy the views, you'll feel the frigid water with your hands and find out why not many chose to swim at this lake.
This is an incredible spot for unique photos of Banff!!!
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Peyto Lake, Improvement District No. 9, AB T0L, Canada
Our last stop for the day will be at Payto Lake, named after Bill Payto who was both an early pioneer and park warden. This glacier lake can be seen from a lookout above the lake, offering incredible 360 degree views of the lake and the valley. You will have a hard time leaving this stunning and amazing area.
