What You Can Expect

Situated below Table Mountain, Devil’s Peak and Lion’s Head, Cape Town offers a rich cultural and industrial heritage. Including all the must-sees of any Cape Town day tour, this option is a geographical and cultural extravaganza, showing you Cape Town, from its historical beginnings to the dazzling modern shopping malls of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

The tour commences with a ferry trip across the bay to Robben Island (weather permitting). From the 17th to the 20th centuries, Robben Island served as a place of banishment, isolation and imprisonment. Today it is a World Heritage Site and museum, a poignant reminder to the newly democratic South Africa and of the price paid for freedom. The excursion includes a return ferry to the island, a bus tour on the island and of the prison.

In the city itself enjoy a drive through Bo-Kaap to discover how the Malay slaves influenced the culture, food and aesthetics of this beautiful city and its people. Continue to Table Mountain where you shall reach the top by cable car (weather permitting; cable car fee not included). Enjoy the panoramic views over the city with Robben Island lying sleepily in Table Bay. Also get a bird’s eye view over the Atlantic Seaboard.

Return to the city bowl area to the Company Gardens. Enjoy a walk through the garden and a visit to the SA Museum. This is followed by a visit to the Castle of Good Hope. Built between 1666 and 1679 by the Dutch East India Company (VOC) as a maritime replenishment station, the Castle of Good Hope is the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa.

The drive through the city center will also take you past the Houses of Parliament, the Grand Parade and City Hall from where Nelson Mandela first addressed South Africans after his release in February 1990.

An very interesting and touching tour of Robbin Island. So pleased that we did it. Table Mountain we were fortunate that there were no clouds when we went up. Amazing views from the top. Buy your tickets before you go as it misses the queue to buy them.

Excellent communication, even emailing confirmation the day before to our hotel to confirm pick up. We had a driver from Ilios Aliled who was very prompt. He dropped us to the ferry port and arranged to pick us up on our return from Robben Island. Amazing trip and well worth going. Alled was waiting and at our request took us next to Table Mountain, he then escorted us up the mountain by cable car and gave us a tour of the mountain which is One of 7 latest Wonders of the World. Wow. A must. We then had a city tour before dropping us off.
Excellent value for money and a 5 to the driver Alled.

Although lots of people the Robben Island trip was well organised and you didnt feel crowded. Table Mountain and City tour was brilliant with small party of 4people. Our guide wanted to know what we wanted to see and he includedur requests in a comprehensive tour of the city.

We had a Full Day Robben Island and Cape Town City Tour November 25th.
We had a fantastic god who first drove us to the boat out to Robben island, and then picked us up when the trip was done. After that, he bought us in Cape Town and showed us some of the city that had different hostages at the houses and told their story, and after we had a reminder at the museum, we were told about the story. After that he drove us up to excursion cable mountain cape town-

Table Mountain

We couldn't go up Table Mountain as the cable cars were closed for maintenance. This photo was taken from Signal Hill which also had magnificent views across the city
