Overview

For anyone who loves ice cream, bicycles, and neighbourhood gazing - this self-guided GPS audio tour is for you! Visit the best ice cream spots in Denver, based on their gourmet-style scoops as well as their location in explorable districts. In case four ice cream stops sounds excessive, you can justify it by the fact that you'll be pedalling along by bicycle.

Please note that bikes are not included. You can use the Uber and Lyft apps to find bikes and ebikes to rent nearby.

The best time to go is late afternoon or evening as the ice cream shops open between noon and 2pm and start closing at 10pm. Be warned, the lines at ice cream shops can be up to 20 minutes long during popular times. Each ice cream stop is in a fun pedestrian-friendly district with alternate / additional browsing options.

Along this route, you’ll find city parks and green spaces to take a break, as well as great local breweries and delicious taco joints.

Ice cream was good but finding a bike to rent was difficult. The bicycle company that is advertised in ad is no longer in business.

The directions need to be better and louder. It was hard to ride a bike and follow the directions. Also the summaries are confusing.

This was my first time doing an audio tour through this app. I used to be a big fan of the app Detour that had similar GPS guided audio tours. This tour worked really well. Some of the directions for which was to turn came right at the last second. So it they came maybe 50 feet sooner a lot of times it might have worked better. It was my first trip to Denver so I wasn't aware of the bike path that the tour guided me on to. Also I was feeling a bit lazy so I actually did the tour on one of the many electric scooters you can find all over town. It worked fine to be on a scooter instead of a bike. I would have appreciated a little more commentary and history about the areas I was riding through. A few times the narrator said she was going to be quiet so we could ride. But I would have appreciated more content in those places.
