Book this full-day hiking tour to experience the mesmerizing view and nature of Triund. Triund is one of the most popular treks that you can do in short period of time. Enjoy the spectacular view of the snow covered peaks of Dhauladhar on one side and Kangra Valley on the other.

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

You will be picked up by your guide Main square of McLeod ganj market (meeting Point) and will take you location where the hike will start as per scheduled pick up time. Walk through the mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and deodar trees. The trail is well marked all the way up to Triund. From McLeod Ganj it is 3/4 hours steep ascent to Triund. Small tea shops on the way can provide good refreshments. Triund is an alpine meadow situates atop a flat ridge with fine views of peaks of Dhauladhars on one side an Kangra valley on the other side. After light lunch at Triund start descending to McLeod Ganj. Take the same route on the way back or follow the grassy ridge which will lead to Bhagsu Nag Temple, after crossing a small waterfall on the way. McLeod Ganj is only 1.5 Km from the Bhagsu Nag by road. When the tour ends, you will return to original meeting point.

It was brilliant day out hiking with our guide, Sachin - he really took care of my friend and I, always checking in making sure we're okay throughout the approx. 4-hour trek up. Definitely very kind of him to always be watchful and prioritizing our safety. The hike wasn't easy, but the view at the top at Triund made it all worth it. If I'm ever in Dharamsala again, I would do the hike again and stay overnight at the top. Sachin is also a fantastic photographer - he definitely knows his angles and picture compositions. This was one of the best, most memorable activities I've done in Dharamsala.

We did the Hinking Day tour to Triund with Mr. Onkar. He was the best guide we could ask for. He was respectful and communicative. He was very knowledgable and we learnt a lot from him about the area, the trail and hiking itself. He kept us on pace and encouraged us towards the end as we were running out of energy. We don't think we would have made it all way without him. The trail itself is very nice. It was challenging but rewarding for us and we have minimal hiking experience. It took us just over 3 hours to go up at a steady pace with lots of breaks. The view at the top is great! The communication with Raj to set up the tour was also great. My only wish is that we started earlier so that we could have walked down from Gallu devi temple to mcleod. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a challenging but rewarding hike!

Amazing day with a great trek and a great guide, Ranjeet. He was very experienced and knowledgeable and great company. We will be using this firm for the challenge mountain from Triund!

Fabulous views. our guide Avinash was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. He was excellent in guiding us up the mountain. always keeping us on the mountain side of the trek and helping us up and down the icy slippery parts closer to the top. We would not have made it up without him ! We were wearing trainers which was fine for the most part but not for the snowy bits. We definitely recommend hiking boots and walking poles. great little cafes on the way. The best Chai I have had in Dharamshala. A hot meal at the top was also very welcome ! All in all a great day out with the family and having a guide makes it so much more enjoyable.

The trek up Triund was very enjoyable and the guide really helpful. Definitely something I would recommend to others but I would suggest booking elsewhere. I paid a premium to La Vacanza Travel for a private tour but I ended up on a group tour. The response from Customer Services was very poor so I won’t use La Vacanza Travel again. Just book direct with local operator for a fairer price.
