The kids had a great time. It was their first experience rafting, and they felt safe and well prepared for the event. The guides were helpful. Thank you for a fun family experience. (I didn't go, but my friend took them, and this is what I heard back from the group)

I had a 17 hour layover in Durango and ended up doing this kayaking trip. I was very happy with my choice! They take care of everything for you and the water for kayaking wasn’t too boring and wasn’t too scary…just right! The guides are funny and do a great job. If you’re an introvert like me, then the solo kayak gives you plenty of alone time but still “with” the guide and groups in the rafts. The water is refreshing to get in on a hot day as well. It was the perfect half day adventure and beautiful views of Durango’s nature and the Animas River. A big buck in velvet even came down to drink from the river while we went by. Just beautiful.

Though the water was not at a level to produce intense rapids, the experience was an absolute blast - partly because KINA was our guide and she is wonderfully funny and allowed some of us to enjoy our very lively humor on the raft. The other rafts were far quieter than ours and … until we got close to them, dryer.😄 We enjoyed downpours that cooled us off and lots of beauty all around. I’d highly recommend this for families.

Perfect family trip! We had an easy start to get used to the boat and commands, then progressed down the river to eventually tackle some class 3 rapids…backwards! Jesse our guide was the absolute best! Ask him to tell his whale joke.
