Come explore the Alaska Wilderness off the road. Explore in a guided and climate controlled Search & Rescue Fat Truck/Sherp while staying safe from the weather, bugs, and the occasional wild animal. This 2.5+ hour tour takes you off road up steep mining trails to vista views, teaches you about the local history, and geological formations near Denali National Park in an adventurous off road Fat Truck search & rescue vehicle. (Plan on about 3.5 hours if using the the hotel shuttle service from select hotels during the summer season)

    Shuttle available from May 1st - Sept 30th. Please let us know which hotel you will be staying at so we can coordinate a shuttle if you need it. The Shuttle will pick up guests at locak hotels 30-45 minutes before the tour start time and return them 30-45 minutes after the tour end time.

    Absolutely fabulous tour! Despite operating just outside of Denali National Park, the views are incredible! The information shared during the tour is very informative and the guide, Joel, was professional and entertaining. The Sherpa vehicle is reason enough to go on the tour... everything else is a bonus. We did see 4 wild moose while on the tour which really was the cherry on top!

    When we knew we were coming to Alaska we both decided this was a must do!! Well it didn’t disappoint. Awesome tour guides. Fun facts and didn’t want it to end. If your ever around the Denali park area this is a must do! Thank you for an amazing experience. Fred and Tina Brokaw

    My friends and I booked this trip with Fat Truck expecting a typical tour of area but in a different vehicle. However, before getting started, Joel asked whether we wanted the regular or adventure version... we happily chose adventure! We had an amazing trip going over some tough terrain, up step inclines, and seeing visually stunning sights. Joel was great at sharing the area's history and interesting facts about the community, geological development, and personal anecdotes. We felt safe the entire time. We loved this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone coming to the area. It's like nothing you've ever seen before! Thank you, Joel, for an amazing adventure!

    What a great adventure! Joel was full of knowledge and fun stories that kept us entertained for the whole trip. The vehicle was surprisingly smooth and stable no matter the terrain. Everyone stayed warm and comfortable and had a wonderful trip. If you are going to be anywhere near the area you need to put this adventure on your itinerary.

    Joel was very entertaining as he told us stories of life experiences in Alaska. We throughly enjoyed every stop along the way. It was very interesting to be in this type of vehicle. I would highly recommend this way to see some sights that you might not have access to on your own.
