WHALE WATCHING WALKING TOURS - in Hermanus, South Africa - -

Whale Watching Walking Tours of Hermanus take you on a gentle walk along our very scenic paved walk-ways of the pretty coastal cliff tops for 2 to 3 hours, with our experienced Whale Watching Tour Guide who will take you to all the hidden coves and inlets that the Whales love to frolic in and due to the cliffs being vertical, means that the Whales can literally be only a few metres away from you.

A visit to our Whale museum will start the tour. (Entrance fee included in your tour fee).

The location schedule will take in 5 to 7 separate spots that are 2 to 4 kms apart so you will travel to each spot by luxury 7 seater kombi minibus (larger vehicles available) and then wander around each location. Tours are conducted at any time of the day that suits you.

MINIMUM group size is = 2 persons

Whale Tour Guide with fun, jovial, entertaining and informative explanation of our local Whales, Dolphin, Sharks and Marine creatures (at the Whale Museum for 20mins, including huge life-size Whale skeleton and lots of informative displays presented to you) - - b4 the Whale Walking Tour starts - and - we will then visit various cliff-top spots for 2 to 3 hours watching the amazing Whales, various marine creatures and incredible coastal scenery.

    We were a little too late to see the whales but Percy our guide was amazing. Such a laugh and full of stories and knowledge about the area. He drove us to the beach, along the cliff top path, to a nature reserve and all throughout the town. We had so much fun and learnt a lot too. Thank you for making our morning so brilliant.

    Very comprehensive and interesting tour covering widlife (whales, sea birds, wide variety of plants, and gardens) Percy, our guide was very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. The tour included the sea front as well as a visit to the Sunday market and information about Hermanus geography and history.

    It was great meeting Percy, he explained lots of interesting things about whales and sealife in Hermanus and took us to the places where spots are more frequent. We spotted whales from different points of the coast and at the end of the tour we were so lucky that a mum with her baby got close to where we were and we saw some nice breaches. We also spotted a doplhin pod swimming around 3 kayaks. It was a great experience!

    We spent an absolutely wonderful morning with Percy. I had prepared myself not to see anything but we saw our first whale within a few minutes. We also went to the whale museum which was great and we learnt so much information which made the whale spotting even better. The cliff top was an exhilarating place for whale watching and so beautiful in its own right. Percy’s enthusiasm was infectious and he is extremely knowledgeable and fun. I highly recommend going on this trip. Thanks so much Percy. This has been a highlight of our trip.

    Everything that Percy and Tanya arranged for us was done promptly, professionally and with great care and attention to our specific requests. This included whale watching on a helicopter flight and the following day on a boat trip and the next day a complete tour of the Hermanus area and land based whale watching. Tanya was in touch throughout the year leading up to our holiday and all the time whilst we were in Hermanus due to the tricky weather conditions affecting the area. I would highly recommend Percy Tours to anyone seeking a great experience in Hermanus and the region. Percy’s knowledge is immense and he tells you about the whales, the history of Hermanus and the local wineries, in an amusing and informative way. We had great fun during our time with Percy Tours.
