The two sisters of the ‘’Foundation of Goodness’’ invite you to join them for an interesting cooking experience with Plates of Goodness. Rangi the older sister who is also the coordinator at the Women’s Empowerment sector has been with the Foundation of Goodness over a decade. Chami the younger sibling works as a Pre-school teacher at our Pre-school, also counts over 10 years with the organization.
Rangi & Chami share a great passion for cooking and together, they present to you this one of a kind cooking experience; preparing healthy and nutritious Sri Lankan vegetarian and non-veg meals.
Upon arrival at the Foundation of Goodness premises in Seenigama, you'll be given a brief introduction. We'd love to take you on a short tour of our empowerment sectors and the story behind it as Sri Lanka's only one of a kind holistic rural model to empower disadvantaged communities!
Then you'll man the cooking station and learn to cook traditional village rice & curry with us.
At the end of the session, you'll enjoy prepared lunch in a relaxed setting. A recipe leaflet will be provided, to try it out back home with your loved ones. Duration of the cooking class would be 2-3 hours.
