Luxor Day Trip from Hurghada

It was a long day (13 hours) but well worth it thanks to our guide Marian and our driver Hussein. Hussein welcomed us early in the morning and got us to our destinations safely on the entertaining Egyptian roads. Marian joined us closer to Luxor with some drinks and snacks. We were kept well fed and hydrated throughout the day, lunch was included at El Hussein Restaurant. Marian was a fountain of knowledge and took time to explain all the sights and answer questions. She was explaining the hyroglyphics to us and impressed us with her knowledge. We noticed other tourists listening in too, likely wishing they were on our tour! Marian made sure that at each stop we had some time alone to take in the sights for as long as we wanted, ensuring we had the best experience and got what we wanted from our day. She took lots of pictures for us and went the extra mile to make us happy. Would recommend to anyone looking to have the best experience from a Luxor day trip!

We booked a day trip from Hurghada to Luxor. We travelled with TUI and didn’t like the look of the tour they offered so reached out to Egypt Portal Tours and they came up with the goods! We were driven by Hussein for the day in a private car just the 2 of us. We then met Marian Azer in Luxor who was our amazing tour guide for the day. She was very attentive and knowledgable even taught us some hieroglyphics at Karnak temple. Do not hesitate and book your tour with this company! And thank you Marian and Hussein for a wonderful unforgettable trip.

I have to thank Mahmoud Nour and our driver George. We had an action packed day in Luxor. From the pick up at the train station in Luxor from Aswan and transfer to hotel, then airport at the end of the day. Mahmoud Nour and George did not miss a beat. Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colosis of Memnon, and Karnak Temple. We had great tours at all of the sights and even managed to squeeze in a short Nile Cruise to have lunch on a banana plantation. The day was pretty warm (30 degrees), but the van was always there on time, with the refreshing AC and access to water so we were ready for the next adventure. Thank you both for a wonderful experience in Luxor.
