Overview

Discover the wonders of the night sky with our award-winning star-gazing tour package! Start your tour in the Planetarium Dome Theatre and explore local First Nations constellations, the Milky Way, and even the edge of the universe!

After leaving the planetarium, head outside for a guided tour of the Rockies' largest, most powerful telescopes. If the sky is clear, you can look through the telescopes and learn about the science behind the Northern Lights, how to photograph Auroras, and even get your hands on meteorites, a Moon rock, and a Mars rock! Enjoy a live, interactive experience with 4K “instant replays” of past live views if it's too cloudy.

This 1.5-hour experience is open to all ages, except children under 4 who are not permitted in the Planetarium Dome Theatre. If you don't see the stars due to cloudy skies, you can always return with our two-year "Rain Check" at no additional charge! Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to explore the night sky!

We had a fun and informative evening with the planetarium and telescope. Unfortunately the clouds meant we couldn’t see a lot but they did offer a free return visit when it isn’t cloudy! Staff were knowledgeable and gave interesting talks and information. Our 10 year old son loved it.

Jerry and Gerran were amazing hosts on March 22. We had a smaller group and they adjusted the content to match our understanding. They were open to questions and discussion and made the whole night super fun. If you come wanting to learn and have a good time it will be an absolute blast! I love how they had a set plan but understood things well enough that they were able to adjust to our questions and we were able to see things or talking about other stars or nebula that were of interest to the group. They had some samples of meteorites from the asteroid belt we could touch and the moon and mars that we could see. Also after it was all said and done Gerran got an alert that Northern Lights might be visible and we were able to get some pictures that night. An absolute amazing experience!!

Nicole was a very informed and well spoken tour guide, she made our night great! All the staff there were welcoming and equipped with the answers to any space questions we might have.

Complete waste of money. Presentations were long and boring. Our elderly grandparents left early because they had to stand on a hard tennis court platform and were so uncomfortable. There was nowhere for them to sit.
