Overview

The Pilanesberg is home not only to the Big 5 but to a host of other popular animals like zebra, giraffe, antelope, warthog and over 100 species of bird. The tour is conducted in an open air game vehicle giving you the opportunity to experience the animals with the cool African breeze blowing through your hair. As for your lunch, after your game drive you will be take to a secluded hide which is situated next to a watering hole. A place where the animals come to cool down and drink. Many a time you'll be fortunate enough to have lunch with elephants bathing right in front of you. The lunch is home made and really tasty. Your guide have a passion for what they do and will try their best to ensure your African bush experience is an unforgettable one.

Enjoy a 6 hour safari in the Pilanebserg with our ranger. you will get to see free roaming animals that include lion, rhino, elephant, Buffalo, leopard, giraffe, zebra, hippo, wildebeest and many other free roaming animals.

I visited Pilanesberg for the 2nd time and twice it was amazing and but different. Excellent guides and special thanks to our friendly driver Ben who always pick you up with a smile.

I will NEVER use your company again. And I will go out of my way to make sure i support others to Never use it. Why? You had a driver that picked-us up at 6am that was the most disrespectful, lying person who was untrustworthy. He drove us from Johannesburg to Pilanesberg Game Reserve. It was HELL all the way. His is name is BEN.There is nothing that i can say that is good & if this is the kind of people you use ,you have lost my business FOREVER. I demand a refund for being Abused.

Very nice tour. If course, you always need a bit of luck to see all the animals you would like, otherwise you go to a zoo. We saw 2 of the so called "big 5" although I didn't care so much but lots of people seem to focus on this. Watching a giraffe walking with its elegant steps is quite spectacular. Now of you have time, I'd recommend to stay overnight to be able to enjoy a late evening and early morning safari, certainly the best moment for animal sighting. Logistic info: pickup at 6am, entering the park at 9am. Leaving Pilsnesberg at 3pm and back in town at 5pm30 or so.

After a miscommunication about start time the booking company (La Vacanza Travel), our guide Ben did a wonderful job taking us to Pilanesberg and giving us a wonderful experience. He went out of his way to find great spots for viewing and was very knowledgeable. Despite the late start Ben made up for it with flexibility. The wildlife was magnificent as was the terrain. Pilanesberg surpassed our expectations for wildlife viewing. We appreciated how the tour guides shared information with each other regarding great viewing spots for the day we were there. We dreamed for years of a picture safari experience, and this was a great choice. Elephants, zebras, giraffes, rhino's, hippo's, leopards...the list goes on.

Our guide was informative and engaging. We got to see 3 out of the big 5. Seeing the park with a guide gives you a better experience as they all use their network to increase sightings.
