Greatly exceeded expectations on all levels! Simply incredible! There is nothing more impressive than an elephant in the wild! 10/10 for our safari guide! 10/10 for Gecko Lodge staff as well! Do it...you won't regret it!

Honestly can not recommend Shinzelle enough! We’ve had the most memorable experience and are now sat at Johannesburg airport waiting to go home and are truly sad to be leaving. From the moment we were picked up from the airport everything was seamless. We were even given a complimentary upgrade to the honeymoon suite which was awesome. The food was honestly incredible- huge thanks to the fantastic chef who prepared everything and to Amy for making everything run to plan and even arranging for us to go to an elephant sanctuary- a definite highlight! But by far the best part of our trip was their FANTASTIC guide Jayden. He is like a walking encyclopaedia and answered every one our questions with ease. Every day he went out of his way to make our experience special and found us every animal- even the notoriously hard to find wild dog. We honestly cannot thank Jay enough for making this trip so incredible. Jay- if you get to read this, if you’re ever in London look us up. We’ll happily return the favour and give you a tour of our concrete jungle 😉! If your hesitating about booking with Shinzelle- please do it, will be the best decision you ever make!

One of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. My wife and I took the 4 Day tour in July 2019. Everything was unbelievable. Jay is the best safari guide anyone could ever ask for. We had him to ourselves for most of our trip and we had so much fun. Great personality, incredible knowledge of the park and the animals in it. He made it his mission to find everything that we wanted to see. The accommodations were beautiful. We stayed in the honeymoon suite at The Windmill Country Retreat. Everything was first class. The hospitality, service and food were all top notch. We had candle lit dinners waiting for us each night when we came back from our safari. We will DEFINITELY be coming back in the future. Anyone considering doing a safari in Kruger should do it with Shinzelle.

Danielle and the team are very friendly, hospitable and accommodating. The lodging was excellent, and the meals were delicious. Our guides were top-notch. As we felt like a lot of the time was spent in vehicles (getting from JNB to Kruger and at the park) and we had seen the "big five" plus many other animals, we requested some changes to our last day - a walk with bird watching along the Sabie River. They were very happy to make the change and because of this we experienced another biome with amazing bird life in the lush foliage of the Sabie valley.

My wife and I did a four day safari with Shinzelle Safaris in late June and could not recommend them more highly. We had a fantastic experience on the safari with Kayro who has an encyclopedic knowledge of Kruger Park. His intimate knowledge of the ecosystem of Kruger made our time in between seeing animals enjoyable as we learned about interesting plants and the history of Kruger. Perhaps most appreciated by us was his insistence that we not rush around the park looking for the Big Five (which it appeared many other safari companies in Kruger do), but rather that we travel at a leisurely pace and enjoy the animals as they came to us. His strategy paid off as we ended up seeing the big five anyway but saw a ton of other amazing things as well. In terms of accommodation and service, the Windmill was excellent. My wife and I stayed in the honeymoon suite which was tastefully decorated and very secluded. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on our balcony watching Vervent monkeys while drinking a glass of wine. Zamie our host was excellent, attending to our every need and sitting down to chat with us to share stories. The food at the Windmill was excellent and just what we needed after a long day on Safari Finally, Danielle and Brandon were excellent trip coordinators. Danielle was happy to take any of my questions (of which I had many) before our trip and was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. Brandon was very helpful and volunteered to drive us to Nelspruit due to the fact that we were going to miss our bus Johannesburg. If we ever head back to Kruger we will definitely use Shinzelle!
