Customer Reviews tommy5zz 15-Mar-2017 Well laid out itinerary. Make sure to try the Portuguese Egg Tarts! Ayama 12-Mar-2017 I really enjoyed this tour. The tour guide kept the pace moving but I still felt like I was able to take in a lot of the city's beauty. The main the ruins of St. Paul's was definitely the best part. Our visit through the temple was also top notch. I wasn't interested in our casino stop - if that had been a separate tour for people who wanted more the cultural/city sights incorporated vs time going through the casinos, I think that may have been preferable however I wouldn't have thought of this before having been on the tour. Grahame E 04-Mar-2017 Lucky enough to be staying in one of the last hotel pickups, we were at the Macau ferry within quarter of an hour. The boat trip is fast and well organized taking an hour to reach Macau, even though the sea was quite rough for our trip. We were met in Macau by Cisco, our guide for the day. Cisco was great, he was knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout the day. The day trip included the sights of both modern and historic Macau and visits to a couple of casinos. This is a busy day with little chance for activities outside of the itinerary. We walked through a shopping area that looked like there was some good bargains to be had, but unfortunately we had no time to look properly or buy. Cisco did mention that previously people had left the group to shop, but then you will have to get yourself back to the return ferry and the ticket has a set time for the return trip, so be careful. Another option here is to do what a few people in our group did which is to include an overnight stay. The day trip will show you where everything is and then you can head back to the shopping area in your own time if bargain hunting is your thing. Overall, the day was excellent. Well organized, superb guide and good value for money. Can thoroughly recommend the day trip, but just bear in mind the comments about the shopping. I would seriously consider an overnight stay if you want to bargain hunt. David H 23-Feb-2017 A well worthwhile tour combining history with a look into a casino. The tour guide was really good giving interesting details about Macau. Marjorie S 23-Feb-2017 We really enjoyed this day trip to Macau. Hong Kong and Macau have different histories---so nice contrasts between the two cities. Good tour guide who had lived in Macau for nearly 40 years and was originally from Portugal.
