Overview

The Paddle Surf route is a unique activity to be able to get to know the best corners of the Natural Area of the Cliffs of Nerja and Maro up close.

We leave Burriana Beach (Nerja) and pass through Cueva del Lobo, Cascada Doncella, Caleta de Maro and Cascada de Maro.

The tour includes stops for snorkeling. Photos and videos are taken for free with a GoPro sports camera.

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

Paddle Surf route through the Cliffs of Nerja and Maro. We pass through the most interesting places: Cueva del Lobo, Cascada Doncella, Acantilados de Maro and Bird Habitat, Playa Caleta de Maro and Cascada Grande de Maro.

We will take all the pertinent security measures, according to the current regulations in the action against COV19.

    We loved our guide, Irene! The tour group responded promptly and swiftly when we had a small medical incident. The one complaint I have about the tour is the snorkeling. Don’t advertise as snorkeling when there are zero fish to see! On the way back our guide got very excited to see a “school” of fish. In my opinion seeing one school of fish does not equate with snorkeling. Included pictures were great and it’s nice there was not an extra fee to access them.

    This was a great tour! When we arrived we were told that it was too windy to paddleboard and so we kayaked instead. If you get sea sick easily I would definitely pop a Dramamine before the tour if it is wavy :) really pretty rock formations and cliffs, sub par “snorkeling”, they have goggles available to look during the swimming option, GoPro pics were fun but mostly blurry due to water. Barbara was our guide and she was great! Fairly athletic adventure

    The views, the sun and the fishes were amazing!! The sun was beaming but the sea was choppy as we headed out. It made it a much more challenging paddle as the waves we strong and made it difficult to stand. If you suffer from motion sickness, be prepared with meds or you may be sharing your breakfast to the sea as my partner did 😂😂😂 The caves and rock formations along the coast are beautiful and looking out to sea on a sunny day is something else! The instructor provided goggles so you can really appreciate the sea life beneath you, so many different fishes! The return back to the beach, paddling against the very choppy Mediterranean Sea wasn’t the best. I’m a strong and fit person and it was a workout!!! Some of the group had to be taken back by boat (so don’t worry if you get tired, sick or struggle- the team are close by to help) All in all, my partner and I bloody loved the adventure and experience. I 100% recommend!!

    Overall - a great experience. We paddle board a lot, so doing the group thing was a bit slow, but they accommodated us with an English speaking guide - Juan Carlis - who brought his energy and great attitude. Water was so clear and temp wonderful. Went places we never would have in our own. Do the early trip, like we did. The town is terrible to park in past about 9am in the summer.
