Overview

In the afternoon you will be picked up from your hotel in Marsa Alam and taken to our brand new Carnellia meeting point, where you will begin your 2.5 hour journey into the heart of the desert. First, drive your quad about 25-30 km between the mountains of the eastern desert to Bedouin village to visit a Bedouin tribe and learn more about their life and traditions (houses, food, education, religion, etc.).) You have the option to taste a Bedouin tea and smoke a hookah. You can also ride a camel for 10-15 minutes to see a spectacular acacia tree growing in the middle of the desert. Later, ride your motorbike back to Quad Runner Station on various quad trails to experience and enjoy even more of the beautiful desert vision. Finally, you will be returned to your hotel. During your unforgettable trip, you will receive 2 bottles of water for free.

It was well done, and a much longer and more enjoyable experience than expected. We quad biked out, had tea, then a bit of bread, we then went on a camel for 5 mins. Afterwards had a very fun talk through the pharmacy. Then we climbed a hill to see the sunset. We then quad biked back to the base. However, my quad bike had no front light which was a bit scary on the ride back in the dark.

This is the best trip i have been to in such a long time. Its an experience of a lifetime. Mr. wael and Mr kareem the photographer are top notch. The whole afternoon was unforgettable! Highly highly recommended

It was a great Quad ride after we got pick up and go to the quad station and get ready with the nessesary equipment and safety instructions thanks next time we book a longer trip to have even more fun

Wat we wilden: Een quad tocht door de woestijn om de woestijn te verkennen, een bezoekje brengen aan een echt Bedoeine dorpje en zien hoe de mensen echt leven. Die kameeltocht wilden we niet, maar dat zat er bij. Wat we hebben geboekt versus wat we hebben gekregen: Contact vooraf was top. We zouden worden opgepikt in een busje met airco. Dat was een oud busje met de ramen open, ook prima, maar bied dat dan niet aan. We kwamen aan en sommige van ons busje gingen meteen quad rijden. Wij moesten wachten. Na 20 min zonder informatie kregen we bij navraag te horen dat we de sunset gingen kijken, maar we hadden bewust de afternoon tour geboekt. Die jongen was vriendelijk en er is een andere cultuur, maar we moesten ons maar aanpassen. Welcome to Egypt zei hij. Na 30 min wachten, toen de andere groep terug was, werden we op een quad gezet met een helm die totaal niet past. Daarna zou je 25-30 km rijden, maar het is maar een tocht van 5 km (30 min). We reden in een treintje van 20 quads en stopten onderweg vaak om iedereen bij elkaar te houden, super irritant. Elke keer lachen voor een fotograaf waar we niet op zitten te wachten. Het dorp is een gemaakte plek voor toeristen met een paar hutjes. De thee was lekker. De "apotheker" laat je cremes en olies proberen die goed voor je zouden zijn die uiteraard te koop zijn. 1 vrouw was armbandjes aan het verkopen. We hebben niemand gesproken over de cultuur van de Bedoeinen. Er is ons geen shisha aangeboden. Dat kameel rijden is diep triest! Alle toeristen om de beurt op 4 dieren, 10 meter lopen, omdraaien, lachen voor een foto en weer terug. 5 minuten maximaal. Hier doen wij niet aan mee. Welke acacia boom? De 2 gratis waterflessen hebben we ook niet gehad. De wc was tegen betaling in een donker hol zonder licht, waar amper water uit de kraan kwam om je handen te wassen. We zouden nog 1,5 uur moeten wachten voor de sunset, maar we hebben gevraagd of we eerder terug mochten. Dat kon gelukkig, begeleid door 1 jongen en toen konden we lekker crossen door de woestijn en onze eigen filmpjes maken. Dat was tof en dat was wat we wilden. Terug bij het meeting point konden we ook meteen naar ons verblijf worden gereden. Dat was top. Uiteindelijk zijn wij 3 uur weggeweest, maar voor de andere mensen was het veel langer dan 3 uur.
