If your group is 3 people or less you may be combined with another group. of 2 or less. If the group is 4 people or more, this will be a private tour for your family only. Only your group and your guide will be participating.

Stop At: Hana Highway - Road to Hana, Route 36, Maui, HI

This hike will lead you through the mystic jungle of bamboo trees, exotic fruits! This 3.5 hour adventure will include floating, swimming, and relaxing in some of Maui's most breath taking waterfalls. Optional cliff jumping available in various locations. Whether you want a challenging obstacle course or a relaxing waterfall lounge day, this is a wonderful option for you. This jungle adventure is a mild-moderate hike for our average traveler.

    Our tour guide was Lauren and she was awesome! It was hiking with the right amount of adventure tailored to us. Would absolutely recommend for active people who want to see waterfalls that not many see since you have to hike through mud and rocks to get there! Loved the GoPro feature the guide had so we didn’t have to take many pics on our own and could just enjoy the adventure with the photos and videos sent at the end - would definitely recommend!

    We booked multiple successful tours with La Vacanza Travel during our week in Hawaii and this one was sketchy. Most are run by a business, this hike is just with two individuals. Not for young kids or older adults as their website suggests. Super dangerous cliff jumps!!! Cons: - They encouraged our group (6 kids and 4 adults) to jump off rocks that ended up not being safe at all. Our friend hit the bottom of the pool and dislocated two bones in his foot. This was just before they encouraged our kids to dive into the pool. Major red flags. - They suggested our group jump off a 50 ft cliff, only to learn that the only way up was via a rope straight up a sheer wall. "If you fall, I will catch you" was their only safety suggestions. We also learned that a kid hadn't jumped off it in over 30 years - yet they pressured our group of mostly kids to jump. Red flag. - Their listing says they bring bug spray - but when we were getting eaten up they realized their can of bug spray was empty. - They pushed one of our kids off a cliff when they were hesitant to jump. - They say it's family friendly, but our kids 7, 8 struggled with the steep aspects of the hike and we had to carry them down on our backs. - They offered us shots of alcohol from their trunk after the hike (probably bc they felt bad about the injury) - They switched the meeting point last minute bc cars were getting broken into at the Safeway. The entire hike was stressful and we all felt really lucky that we didn't get more hurt. I would not recommend this tour.

    Met Spence in Wailuku, safe parking on a local farm. Traveled with him to 13 Crossings trail, not a place you want to park your own car. He was very knowledgeable about not only the trail and the area we were in but also about Maui itself. The group was just me and my 17yr old daughter, no bus or van, just us and Spence. Beautiful trail where we saw multiple waterfalls. Spence had towels, water and snacks for us. He also was recording on a Go Pro, we ended up with 51 different pictures and videos. Towards the end we crossed the highway for the extra part down to where you could cliff jump, if you wanted to. We chose not to but watched a few others go for it. Beautiful hike back up. Finished off at the end in the same parking lot , where the local food truck was waiting. Transferred the Go Pro footage on the way back. Would highly recommend this company for any activities.

    Our tour guide, Lauren, was amazing. She was so personable, and we really got to know each other. She is so knowledgeable about the area and the wilderness and takes the time to show and explain everything to you as you hike. If you like small group tours, this is the one for you! What was even better was that she filmed everything on the GoPro and uploaded all of the videos and pictures to my phone!
