Overview

Sail, Snorkel, and Paddle the beautiful Wailea coast in a Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe. The tour includes snorkeling with sea turtles, seasonal whale watching, and learning Hawaiian history and culture. Cold water and snorkel gear are provided. Our adventure starts on Polo Beach in beautiful Wailea, Maui, where you will learn first hand about ancient Hawaiian sailing canoe tradition, construction, and navigation. We then launch the Hawaiian Sailing Canoe 'Ke Anuenue' straight from the beach just like the Hawaiians did in ancient times and sail on the gentle Wailea breeze for a unique perspective on the island of Maui.

What Can You Expect?

Relax and sail along the beautiful Wailea coast amongst the sea turtles and seasonal humpback whales, while learning about the geography, geology, and history of the Hawaiian Islands. Snorkel our secret spots with sea turtles, beautiful reef fish, and the occasional Eagle or Manta Ray...

    Our family of 4 went out with Sage. He was really knowledgeable and very good at handling the boat. Snorkeling was excellent and we saw 2 turtles. Parking at Polo Beach was easy and you can do an outdoor shower and change clothes afterwards. Highly recommend!

    Sage is an amazing guide. We had some apprehension given the size of the canoe, but I can say this was my absolute favorite excursion during our week in Maui. His stories and history of the islands coupled with his mastery of all types of watercraft made us feel super comfortable. We were able to snorkel, see whales up as legally close as possible and swim with turtles. Two fantastic hours! Thank you, Sage!

    This trip exceeded expectations. Saje is a trove of knowledge and made us feel comfortable. Great snorkeling with many different types of beautiful fish. My husband and I were lucky, and we even saw some turtles.

    Simply incredible experience in beautiful Maui. Sage and his coworker Chris were very friendly and showed us a great time. The other couple in the trip with us were very fun as well. We all got lucky and saw several whale jumps right in front of us. We then sailed around a bit, circled a yacht to get a closer look, then sailed back to the starting point. We were all so amazed at the whale sightings that we blew off snorkeling. However, they would have stopped had we said yes. Both Sage and Chris said our whale sightings were a treat and we feel very lucky to have witnessed them. Thanks guys for an awesome experience.
