Once at the top, our local guides from Valley Isle Excursions will set you up for the best experience—pointing out incredible viewing locations, sharing tips for seeing the sunrise, and telling stories about the history of the island.

After sunrise, we’ll take a short tour of the remainder of Haleakala National Park and the nearby ranch lands.

Spencer & G did a marvelous job from the early morning pickup to our drop off after the excursion. We highly recommend this family/locally owned tour company. We finished with a filling breakfast having tropical Mountain views.

What a great trip! Alex and Everett were fantastic, or as Alex would say, Cherry! We were treated to three special events, a moonbow, blood moon and incredible sunrise. The weather was perfect and the sunrise over the clouds could not have been better scripted. Advise to anyone taking this trip... when you think you have enough layers, add a couple more. Everrett advised when we got on the bus that the tempurature drop will be 3 degrees for every 1000 ft of elevation, so 30 degree drop. Thank goodness the guides had fleece lined ponchos for us, what a life saver!! Thanks guys!

Fantastic tour with Everett. So grateful for the ponchos to keep us warm! It’s an early morning but the bus was comfortable and made it easy to nap on the way to Haleakala.

Absolutely worth every penny. The guides were amazing and so kind. They even provided ginger chews in case anyone became nauseated from winding roads. Word of caution though - when they say it is cold on the summit, they mean it! Even as two Canadians, we found it bone chilling with the wind. Thankfully, we were provided warm ponchos!
