Join us for an exhilarating snorkel aboard the all new REEF EXPLORER, Maui's only luxury SUPER RAFT and snorkel the world famous Molokini Crater. Enjoy a full hour of snorkeling in this partially submerged volcanic crater, and view over 250 different species of reef fish and coral formations.

REEF EXPLORER is a state of the art, 60 ft Super Raft, which arrives to Molokini Crater in less than 30 minutes. This allows guests more time to snorkel in a private setting, away from crowds.

Our second snorkel stop is at our favorite "Turtle Cove", where we swim and observe the abundant population of Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles that make this cove home. 

Tour includes pastries, deli wrap lunch, chips, granola bars, bottled water, sparkling water, Aloha juice, soft drinks, all snorkel gear and flotation devices.

What Can You Expect?

Snorkel the world famous Molokini Crater aboard Reef Explorer - Maui’s newest custom built Super Raft. This ultra smooth ride arrives to Molokini Crater in record speed, staying away from crowds while gliding effortlessly above the water!

Once in Molokini, snorkel with over 250 species of reef fish and coral inside this partially submerged volcanic crater, and enjoy a leisurely lunch. From there, our friendly and knowledgeable guides will take you to a secluded turtle cove, where you will swim with graceful Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. Our favorite turtle cove is not accessible to large tour boats, which allows a completely private experience where we often see up to one dozen turtles at a time!

All snorkel gear, lunch, snacks and flotation provided - All you have to do is hop onboard and have fun!

Turtle town was murky, but did see at least a dozen large turtles. The crater was a bust with waves 5-6 ft. making viewing a chore. Several people around us got sick from the motion and most snorkelers only stayed in the water about 10 minutes on average. The ride back to the harbor was worse than any roller coaster ride you could imagine. The three crew members tried to lighten the mood and kept asking if we needed anything. The gest of this is that weather was a big factor, but no calm waters like shown in the ad. Best to snorkel from shore.

Best part of the trip! I was looking at so many different boat experiences. I’m so glad I picked this one. I love every part of it. I will always recommend this to everyone and can’t wait to come back again! Thank you for such a wonderful experience! It was super intimate with smaller group and they remember my name and check up on me while im in the water. Saw few turtles and lots of fish!

My kids (9 yo, 11 yo), husband and I loved this outing while in Maui for Spring Break. We wanted a boat tour that wasn't too big (like the large yacht ones) and not too small which would make one of our kids anxious. So, we decided to go with Maui Reef Adventures based on the description on TripAdvisor and it did not disappoint! The pre trip information was very helpful, the entire crew (Ryan, Garrett and Esteban) were fabulous, the snacks, food, and drinks were spot on, and, of course, the snorkeling with the turtles and at Molokini were exactly what we were wanted. One of our kids gets nervous easily and the crew were very helpful putting him at ease. Garrett did a great job encouraging him to get into the water at both stops. We definitely recommend going with Maui Reef for a boat tour and we will do it again when we go back to Maui.

Ryan and Jen were amazing guides for our snorkel excursion! Very friendly, helpful, and charismatic. Such beautiful views and snorkeling with tons of turtles and fish species to see in the blue waters. A smaller boat allowed for a more intimate experience and authentic open boat ride close to the water rather than being on a large catamaran boat. Highly recommend!

What a great time!!! We saw a number of sea turtles that were just feet away - the captain did a great job of pointing them out to us. We were the only ones at this sea turtle spot so it felt extra special. Then we headed to the crater and saw beautiful fish in amazingly clear water. We even got to snorkel at the back crater. Then the captain spotted whales and we were able to watch them as the mom and baby surfaced several times - that was spectacular and the captain deserves all the credit for spotting them and letting us drift around to watch them. We loved the smaller sized boat and no one got sea sick. We preferred the smaller boat because we had more options of where we could see turtles and it was just a lot of fun. Highly recommend!!!
