Itinerary
Depending on the workshop chosen, you will make vegetable colors (inks), dye, learn to use a vat of indigo, make vegetable prints (ecoprint) from plants picked in the garden:
-Create a pattern, make your color from plants then dye your cotton or silk linen square
- Prepare a vat of vegetable indigo, to use it according to one of the methods you learned during the workshop; first by doing a few tests then by making your pattern on a silk or cotton scarf
- Make a color chart of vegetable inks from plants picked in the garden from which the color has been extracted, then thickened as desired to make inks of different colors.
- Create prints of plants picked up in the garden on fabric or paper: the plants are picked during a botanical walk where we learn to recognize tannin plants in particular which will give beautiful prints. Then they are placed on a silk scarf, which will be rolled up and put in the oven.
