The tour and package is amazing and I can highly recommend it.
The pick up was on time from the Delhi airport, the car was comfortable the driver very friendly and we arrived in Agra on time. The guide for the Taj Mahal was knowledgeable but we personally didn't care too much about the historic information, we just wanted to explore and see the sight. After wandering around there and some free-time we went to a nice hotel near by for breakfast. The breakfast is included but the Taj Mahal guide told us that tip is not included. It was weird for him to day this since the tour is already at a higher price and tip in India is usually not a thing. It was obvious that is he said this because we're tourists. So if you're there, don't feel like you have to typ, it is not America or Europe where tip is normal.
After breakfast we went to some local manufacturing of jewelry made out of local stones. This was nice to see and there was also no pressure or awkward situation to buy anything. We also went to a clothing store to look for Saari's but in general I cannot recommend to buy anything there since the price is of course made for tourists. But again, everyone was very nice and not pushy at all.
Next stop was the Agra fort which is a very impressive castle with very beautiful architecture. The guide explains about the sight and takes care of the entrance fee and bringing you in. Everything went smooth and there was enough time for photos and wandering around. Some more free time where you can explore on your own would have been nice, but the guide is just always with you which some people may enjoy and need.
The day tour ended on time and Taj Mahal guide said good by at around 2-3pm. He asked us to fill out a review of the tour immediately in the car, which was a little be awkward and pushy from him. A feedback should be anonymous and not be filled out in front of the person that we're giving feedback about. So we declined and said we will do it when we return from our travels and have time for it - which I am doing right now. There is an expectation for a tip and we gave him around 10 or so dollars worth of tip, which is after I talked to my local Indian friends way to much. But again, you don't know it better and it is worth it for you and no problem to pay such a tip but again the tour is already pretty expensive for Indian standards so there should actually be no tip.
The driver brought us back to Delhi and dropped us off right at the hotel. Same tip situation with him... In general if you don't want to take care of anything for this day trip and just hop on a car and everything is taken care of, especially after a long flight there, this tour is perfect. It has it's price but they do a really good job taking care of you and making the experience as smooth and enjoyable for you as possible. Everything is safe and I would recommend this tour to my friends if they get to travel to India and want to see the Taj Mahal - it is unbelievably beautiful!
