What You Can Expect

Take a private tour of several antique structures of Agra, a city on the banks of the Yamuna River. Private pickup will take you from Delhi approximately four hours to Agra. Stop first at the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Agra Fort, a treasure house of Mughal architecture.
This 94-acre (34-hectare) brick fort dates back to 1080 AD and has seen many battles and undergone major renovations. Witness the interesting fusion of Hindu and Islamic influences on its construction and decor as you walk inside the fort with your guide and learn about the different functions of the buildings including the Moti Masjid (Pearl Fort), Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audience), Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) and more.

Head to the Taj-Mahal, India’s most iconic building and a UNESCO World Heritage-listed site. Along the way, stop at a popular restaurant for traditional Indian eats.

Spanning an area of about 1,000 acres (400 hectares), this majestic architectural wonder offers incredible sights. On your guided tour, admire the structure’s magnificent construction, the intricate exterior and interior decor, the beautiful garden and the outlying red-sandstone buildings. Its most predominant structure, the white-domed marble mausoleum, was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and combines Persian, Turkish and Indian architectural styles.

Finally, visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, situated on the opposite bank of the Yamuna from the Taj Mahal and commonly known as the Baby Taj. Built between 1622 and 1628 by Empress Nur Jahan for her father, the mausoleum is often described as a jewel box. Admire the trellis work and precious stone inlay as you listen to your guide’s commentary and learn about the strong Persian influence on the tomb’s design—the first in India entirely made out of marble.

At the end of private tour, sit back and relax on the drive back to Delhi.

Great way to see the sights in India, driver collected us from the hotel then met our tour guide at the first stop. He was very knowledgable and friendly. Lunch was nice too, highly recommend this trip to see some of India’s amazing sights.

Highly recommend this day trip, although it is a big day and be ready for a lot of driving! Pickup from Hotel at 7am with about a 3 hour drive to Agra rest stop included. Driver was prompt, friendly and drove safely. We met our guide in Agra and he was great, gave us lots of information and helped us take really great photos on our phones! dont do the Photographer thing, the guide knows how to take just as good photos! He also gave us some free time to explore the Taj Mahal and grounds by ourselves. The Agra Fort was also really great and well worth the visit. Lunch was quite good and then the guide gave us the option if we wanted to do some shopping or not. We opted not to and it was great that he gave us the option instead of just taking us there without asking. The drive back to Delhi was also fine, just Delhi traffic is really bad, even on a Saturday! But in a city that big, it is to be expected! The only thing that could be better was perhaps an email or call a few days before confirming the pickup time from the hotel as we needed to know what time to be ready. I tried to call the local number a few times on the day before but had no luck. I was finally able to get through in the afternoon and they confirmed the pickup time and then followed with an email. However I would highly recommend this trip, it is well worth it to see the amazing Taj Mahal and Agra Fort when you don't have much time in Delhi. Everything was well organised and went very smoothly.

I really enjoyed this tour. The driver stopped halfway for tea and toilet at a clean place. He answered my questions about curiosities along the way, like the smokestacks are for making bricks, he then showed me the acres of drying bricks. Mr. Gunderfir I believe was his name. Very affable.
The guide was also knowledgable about the Taj and the Fort. He was easy to understand and answered my many questions. Also, he know where the best photo taking places were.
I was very pleased with the trip and tour.
