I am not sure what adjectives to use to describe this. All I can say is it is a very moving experience. I highly recommend adding the guided tour once inside. It's another $20, but well worth it.

Visiting the 9/11 Memorial & Museum was a deeply moving experience. The memorial itself, with the waterfalls and reflecting pools, is incredibly powerful and beautifully designed. Inside the museum, the exhibits were both heartbreaking and informative, giving us a real sense of the events and the people affected. It's a heavy topic, but it felt important to witness and remember. While somber, the overall feeling was actually more uplifting than we expected – a testament to the resilience of the city and those impacted by the tragedy.

What a wonderful memorial. So well done. Definitely not to be missed. We were able to skip the line and go straight to the entrance.

Came to NYC for a few days before heading to Ireland and the 9/11 museum was definitely on my list. It was really easy to get into the museum with our purchased ticket which for a couple was about 66 bucks ( not bad at all ). Next up was going through security which made me think of TSA at the airport although I didn’t have to take off my shoes. Be careful to go to the line they want you too or the older reddish hair lady will yell at you like she did me; anyways, you move into this huge hall where images are on display and you can hear voices. By now the emotions are starting to hit hard. Pretty sure it was mine, the victims and the people that were in attendance. Also to point out, we did not do the guided tour or audio tour but we went on our own which is pretty easy to navigate. Even going into the remembrance room where all the pictures of the victims are is very impactful; also to note… you are not allowed to take photographs in this part but you can in the rest of the museum. Definitely need to stop here and pay respects if you’re in NYC.
