Overview

Once inside the Skylon Tower you will ascend 520 ft. in a glass elevator to the observation deck where you will be treated to an incredible, birds-eye view of all three Niagara Falls (Bridal Veil Falls, Horseshoe Falls, and the American Falls), as well as the Niagara River and surrounding area.

You will have descend 125 ft (approx. 40m) to explore cave-like tunnels behind the Falls at Journey Behind the Falls. This experience is a treat for the senses as you’ll be able to not only hear the falls but feel them as well.

Then, during summer and fall months, take a Hornblower cruise for an up-close look at the falls, at which point your tour will come to a close and you and your guide will part ways. On your cruise, you will sail around the Niagara gorge and get as close as possible to the Falls.

In winter and spring months, enjoy the Niagara SkyWheel and Niagara Fury.

Meet your guide outside the front entrance of the Skylon Tower. You will then ascend 520 ft. in a glass elevator to the observation deck where you can see the three Falls.

Walk to Journey Behind the Falls where you will descend 125 ft (approx. 40m) to explore cave-like tunnels behind the Falls.

After Journey Behind the Falls you will walk and continue on to your last stop Niagara City Cruises.

We were there during the solar eclipse, so we expected madness. Instead, it was well organized and perfectly executed. Martine was an AMAZING guide, we loved hearing about the daredevils over the years, and each transition from event to event was smooth. She was punctual and communicative, and had great stories about the falls to share with us and while there was a bit of a schedule, we never felt rushed. It was a ton of fun and we would HIGHLY recommend, and definitely get a recommendation for dinner (Moksha was GREAT!)

I was rather disappointed with our tour. We booked a tour for 5 people, and on the website it said each tour had a maximum of 7 people. I was very surprised to see a group of 4 more people join us. It was a bit awkward to have to ensure we were on the same page about timing and pacing. Our guide didn't help very much in ensuring each group kept to timing, and indicated she was worried we may miss the last boat tour. Luckily we did make it in time since I took it upon myself to talk to the other family about walking through each activity faster. I also didn't realize the guide would not be attending each part of the tour with us. I thought she would have come up Skylon tower and pointed out the interesting things we could see, and directed us through the journey behind the falls so we didn't get stuck in needless lines. She also had a difficult time answering some of our questions about the history of the Falls. In all the tour was fine, but I was expecting a much more informative and smooth process. I didn't see much advantage to having booked through Trip Shepherd rather than booking each activity myself. I did contact the company to express my frustration after the tour, but never received a reply.

Idania was a great guide. She was very informative of the falls and gave us a wonderful tour. She also helped with capturing the moment of my proposal to my now fiancé!
